As part of the promotion of "Relentless" released at the end of 2010, the band performed two shows in February 2012 on their latest Russian tour. The Moscow stadium live performance on February 18th was recorded in full with high quality audience recording. Last year, they performed a large-scale US tour from October to November, and this is the Russian version of that tour. It's their first live performance in about two months, but they start off with a string of familiar numbers like Rising Force and Never Die, which really excites the audience. Next up is a medley of the fast instrumental "Shot Across The Bow" from their new album "Relentless". After the show, Ripper Owen immediately greeted everyone by saying, "How are you all? I'm glad to be back," and then said, "I saw a copy of "Relentless". Please buy the official version, not the bootleg version." From the new album, they played Overture to Critical Mass. Following Ripper's exciting MC to incite the audience, we move on to Yngwie's familiar solo time with Badinerie, Icarus' Dream Suite Op.4, and Far Beyond The Sun, but unusually, the guitar is completely turned off during the intro of "Far Beyond The Sun", and you can hear the scene where only the rhythm resonates in emptiness. (It recovers around the 50th second mark, and then plays as usual until the end.) Enemy Within from the new work is played again, and Red Devil and Damnation Game from "Perpetual Flame" are played with Ripper's intense title call. Following Baroque & Roll, Live To Fight (Another Day) from "Perpetual Flame" is played again. On the second disc, Ripper complains that "there is too much smoke on the stage floor and I can't see the set list." The second half of the show is played in full, with Dreaming (Tell Me) from the album "Odyssey" with Joe Lynn Turner, who is popular in Russia, and Heaven Tonight. Ripper's sharp vocals are a bit strange for these melodic numbers, which require clarity, but on the contrary, the mismatch is very interesting to listen to. The melody of Gates Of Babylon seems quite difficult. From here, Yngwie's long guitar solo time starts with Into Valhalla from the new album, but after one song, Yngwie complains to the light guy on the microphone, saying "I can't see anything." After that, Trilogy Suite Op: 5, Red House, Fugue. After a drum solo, the main set ends with Heaven Tonight. For the encore, they play their representative songs Black Star, Cherokee Warrior, As Above, So Below, and I'll See The Light Tonight, and end the great show. After the show, Yngwie is like a madman, repeatedly shouting "Spasiba, thank you, thank you! Don't buy the (official) bootleg!". The exciting show comes to a close. The overall sound quality is clear and the sound image is stable, making this a satisfying listen for fans of all levels. This is a must-have for fans who want to enjoy the Moscow performance that was just held the other day with the best sound.
