Yngwie Malmsteen's first solo full-length performance in 19 years was in Osaka. An original IEM album that will let you hear the live performance in your brain has been decided to be released. This work includes the "May 9, 2024: Osaka performance". This is an in-ear monitor recording. 1984 marks the 40th anniversary of his solo debut work "RISING FORCE", and this work is also the first report of the commemorative tour. In order to get to know Yngwie's current situation, let's first take a look at the overview of his current activities. ・May 2: Singapore performance ・May 4: Jakarta performance ・May 7-11: Japan (3 performances) ←★Here★ ・May 16-19: Australia (3 performances) ・June 20-July 7: Europe (9 performances) This is the 2024 schedule that has been announced so far. The European tour for the summer has been decided, and the schedule for the second half of the year will be announced from now on. The band began their activities in May 2024, and landed in Japan with the Singapore/Jakarta performance as a warm-up (?). The Osaka performance of this work was the middle day of the three performances. The top-class audience recordings of the three performances in Japan will be released all at once, but this work is completely different from that. This is an original recording of this work, recorded at the site of "Zepp Namba" by IEM interception. Although it is a little noisy at the beginning, it is a little unsettling, but it stabilizes soon after. Although it is not official grade, the raw performance sound unique to IEM is vividly poured into the brain. And the live performance is super interesting. The personality of this kind of sound source changes greatly depending on whose IEM it is, but in this case, it is the IEM of Nick Marino, who serves as keyboard/vocalist. This is the biggest point of this work. After all, Yngwie's show is known for a mix where the guitar sounds are ridiculously loud, and other instruments tend to be spoiled. Even so, the rhythm section, which is the foundation, is easy to hear, but the keyboards, which often reinforce the back melodies and chords, are difficult to hear. However, this work is the exact opposite. The keyboards and vocals are the main characters, and the guitar is supportive. Although it is only a matter of mix balance, and Yngwie goes wild even at low volume (lol), the keyboard work hidden in the shadows is really brilliant, the passages are fast, and it is beautiful. Although it can't be helped because it is Yngwie, it is a waste that all this performance is written on the roar of the guitar. Such an interesting IEM sound depicts the full show, which was the most "RISING FORCE" color of this visit to Japan. All three performances played all the A-side songs from his solo debut, but only Osaka added "As Above, So Below". Finally, let's organize the full set. 80s/90s ・Rising Force: Now Your Ships Are Burned/Far Beyond The Sun/Evil Eye/As Above, So Below (★★)/Black Star・Others: Rising Force/Like An Angel (For April)/Seventh Sign/Trilogy (Vengeance)/Blue (★)/You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget and after・World on Fire: Top Down, Foot Down-No Rest For The Wicked/Soldier/Into Valhalla-Baroque & Roll・Parabellum: Relentless Fury/Wolves At The Door/(Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum・Others: Overture-Arpeggios From Hell (★)/Badinerie/Paganini's 4th-Adagio/Smoke On The Water/Fugue *Note: The ★ mark indicates a different song each day. The ★★ marks are limited songs only available on this day. There are some noises here and there, so it can't be called a perfect live album, but the pleasure of enjoying the rare "keyboard-based Yngwie" in one whole performance is irreplaceable. This two-disc set goes beyond the level of simply reporting the latest live performances, and teaches you neo-classical metal that you can't hear anywhere else. The original IEM album intercepted during the latest visit to Japan has been released. With the IEM of Nick Marino, who is the keyboard/vocalist, you can enjoy the whole performance of "keyboard-based Yngwie" that you can't usually hear.
