This is a recording of a live performance when Yngwie, who performed with an orchestra in Japan in June 2001, returned to Japan as a band one month later. The 2001 Japan tour accompanying "War To End All Wars" consisted of a total of 10 performances, but this edition is a complete recording of the 7th performance of the tour, the Fukuoka Scala Espacio performance on July 18th, with a superb level of ultra-high quality audience recording. The original DAT master, which is not available among traders at all, is used directly. This is the first appearance of the sound source of this performance itself. Mark Boals has joined as the vocalist, replacing Jorn Lande, who left in the middle of the US tour. His excellent vocals, with outstanding high-frequency control, greatly liven up the live performance. The familiar opening performance features Beethoven's "Fate" played on tape, with Yngwie's intense guitar ad-lib added to it. About 1 minute and 30 seconds after the tape starts, Yngwie plays a solo to announce the start of the live show, but after about a minute of playing, the sound suddenly disappears and there is silence for a while (probably due to technical trouble). The venue waits for the start of the live show with a storm of applause. The guitar comes back and plays his favorite Jimi Hendrix, the audience cheers wildly, and then the dramatic intro keyboard of Rising Force is heard, and the stage starts without any problems. Mark's vocals are also added, and a performance full of speed is performed. The overall sound balance is also excellent, and the sound is ideal with almost no muffled feeling, and you can clearly hear the fine sounds emitted by everyone. The first MC is Yngwie. The second song is Crucify from the new work. Mark's expressive vocals are clear. After the performance of the song, followed by Mark's greeting, it is "Eclipse" for the first time in a long time and Bed Room Eyes. Mark sings well through this mid-tempo, slightly bluesy, melodic song. After the show, Mark calls out "The Wizard" powerfully, but Yngwie doesn't play it and goes into guitar solo time. Adagio to Far Beyond The Sun shows off a great performance. The sound is recorded so well that you can enjoy Yngwie's guitar as well as Randy's amazing bass running. The Preludium tape plays, and the band reappears to play Wild One. Yngwie, Mark, and the band are all in top form, and you can enjoy a fast tune that is united with everyone. Following Mark's friendly MC for about a minute, they play the ballad Miracle Of Life from their new album. Impressive vocals and guitar! You can enjoy a dramatic, tasteful, and truly wonderful performance. After the show, Yngwie plays the riff of Smoke On The Water at a loud volume and says in Japanese, "Wait a minute!" Meanwhile, Mark will connect with MC. The guitar will recover and they will start Bad Reputation from the new album. Disc 2 will start with Mark's introduction of Yngwie and a long guitar solo time of nearly 20 minutes. Following Trilogy Suite Op.5, they will dynamically and dramatically liven up the stage with a slow Blue. But here trouble occurs. Yngwie's voice (not through a microphone) can be heard again, "Please wait a moment," and after a while, a strong guitar solo will start. But again, Yngwie says "Please wait a moment" in his voice. After a short silence, Cantabile suddenly starts. A strong ad-lib solo is followed by a 5-minute bass solo and a slightly longer 6-minute drum solo. Here, Yngwie starts introducing the members in a very relaxed manner. During this time, it is a long 5 minutes for this kind of live. It feels like the flow of the live is interrupted a little, but the audience seems to enjoy the interaction with Yngwie. Yngwie called out for the new song Masquerade, and then Seventh Sign, which was played without a pause, and the main set ended. For the encore, he went straight to Hiroshima Mon Amour, instead of playing Black Star, which started with an acoustic solo. Mark's singing of this Alcatraz number was a precious gift for the fans of the 2001 tour. The last song was I'll See The Light Tonight. Although there was some equipment malfunction during the show, Yngwie's 2001 Fukuoka performance was recorded in the highest quality for 2 hours and 6 minutes, and this is a must-listen and must-have for fans. I highly recommend it! Live at Skala Espacio, Fukuoka, Japan 18th July 2001 PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 1. Opening(Beethoven Symphony 5th) 2. Rising Force 3. Crucify 4.
