The world's first Kinney cassette is here. We have reissued various Kinney recordings from their original cassettes, but this is an unearthed item that has never been titled, including on analog. Moreover, it is a superb item that boasts exceptional quality among the many Kinney recordings. This work was recorded on April 7, 1988 at Yoyogi Olympic Pool. This is an audience album that contains the second visit to Japan by YES, who were on a roll with "BIG GENERATOR" at the time. First, let's take a look at the schedule at that time. ・April 4: Yoyogi Olympic Pool ・April 5: Yoyogi Olympic Pool ・April 7: Yoyogi Olympic Pool [This work] ・April 9: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium ・April 10: Nagoya International Conference Center ・April 12: Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium ・April 13: Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium A total of 7 performances. This is a return to Japan after a 15-year hiatus since their first visit, which is now unthinkable. They performed live for three days at the Yoyogi Olympic Pool, the largest in their history of coming to Japan, and the popularity of the time can be seen from the schedule. This work is the final day of the three days. This day was also loved in "THE BIG TOUR IN JAPAN", but of course this work is a completely separate recording. The quality is a clear sound that is worthy of being called Kinney Magic. Despite the huge National Yoyogi Stadium, the musical sound is so powerful that it is not felt to be a sense of distance. Although it is not the type that is called "like a sound board", the clarity is as vivid as a line recording. We have delivered many Kinney recordings, but this work is one of the best. Although it is difficult to decide "this is the best" among bands with different musicality, it is certainly one of the most promising. Although it is such a superb sound Kinney recording, unfortunately there was a big drawback. That is, the recording ends after the performance of "Wurm" at the end of the show. It's a pity that the tape change cut was a perfect recording that did not overlap with the performance until then... (Probably because of this, it was unreleased). In this work, the tape change cut between songs and the last three songs "Love Will Find A Way", "I've Seen All Good People", and "Roundabout" are complemented by Ayanami label's "THE BIG TOUR IN JAPAN", allowing you to experience the complete form of the show seamlessly. Although it does not reach the main part where Kinney Magic shines, "THE BIG TOUR IN JAPAN" is also a famous recording that has been honored as the definitive version for many years. Equalization has been applied to minimize discomfort, and the golden age of the YES show is finished so that you can enjoy it to the end. The sparkling show is also wonderful. The album features hits such as "Rhythm Of Love", "Changes", "Love Will Find A Way", and "Owner Of A Lonely Heart", as well as a lineup of songs from "90125" and "BIG GENERATOR", and even the then unreleased "Make It Easy" from CINEMA. The glittering, catchy, and yet technical flavor of "90125 YES" is unfolding like crazy! The 70's classics are also great. There are only a few songs from "The Yes Album", "Fragile", and "Crisis", but there is no shortage as they are all big songs. I'm happy that the album is arranged in an 80's style, but is full of rock dynamism. At the time, I felt a strange sense of discomfort with Trevor Rabin's guitar style, but now I'm struck by a strange feeling of "nostalgia yet freshness" to my ears. In addition, in the second half of the show, John Anderson's "Acorn Rolling", which is one of the biggest stories of 1988, will be performed, and "Amazing Grace" will be played during Chris Squire's solo time. You can experience the scenes that make you smile with nostalgia and the melodies that touch your heart because of now, live with a sparkling clear audience. And the sound of this work is beautiful even to the breathing of the audience who are amazed and delighted by such masterpieces. Just to be sure, this work is dominated by clear and transparent musical sounds, and there is almost no crazy or annoying audience noise. However, there is certainly a presence of the audience who roars with the applause given between songs and the intro of the classics. Even though the volume is small, the vast three-dimensional feeling is transparent, and you can taste the sense of scale that is exactly because it was an era heading towards the peak of the bubble. It is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the precious "90125 YES" with Kinney's super beautiful sound. Not only does the hot wind of the times blow out of the speakers, but ARW is in the spotlight, and this is a piece that shines brightly now that the Japan tour is approaching.
