From the 1973 Japan tour, a 6-disc set with remastered high-quality audience recordings of all three Tokyo performances from the original master cassette is now available. The master sound sources of the previously released masterpieces "Heart Of The Sunrise", "Close To The East" and "In Japan" have been remastered using current technology, and the legendary three consecutive performances in Tokyo are reproduced as a 6-disc set. I'm doing it. This is a special project released in the fall of last year with the same content, in response to passionate requests from many fans. Since each of these has been re-released nearly 10 years after the original release, both the binding and content are suitable as definitive editions. All three performances have been carefully remastered from the original master cassette. All performance takes have been carefully processed, including compensation for cut points. (Since it is a re-recording from the master, its texture and tone shine as if it were something else.) Discs 1 & 2 include the remastered March 8th Shinjuku Welfare Pension Hall sound source. Beatleg magazine (vol. 52), which reviewed the previously released album, called it ``unprecedented excavated sound source'' and ``almost nothing.'' Apparently he was stationed in front of the PA, and the sound was recorded in a strangely dead manner.''If it was recorded in such a dead manner, it should be able to be used as an official boot if it was mastered by a professional. ”, highly praised. ``Everything is a magical rarity,'' he concludes. As mentioned here, the recording position is probably right in front of the right PA, and therefore the panned sound is not included in the left PA, so there are some parts where the musical balance sounds strange for a moment, but still, with this quality, it is the first time for Yes. It can truly be said that it was a miracle that we were able to hold the performance on the first day of our visit to Japan. Discs 3 & 4 were mentioned in Beatleg magazine (vol. 40) at the time, saying, ``What is noteworthy is the sound quality.'' ``It's surprising that it was recorded so clearly.'' ``The seat position seems to be quite old, so it can be recorded directly. ``So much so that for a moment you could mistake the sound for a PA-out sound source.'' Discs 5 & 6 are on the 3rd day, and perhaps because the tension of being at the venue for the first time has eased, on the contrary, the texture of Heart Of The Sunrise is about to fall apart, the rhythm is out of order, and even John doesn't write the lyrics properly. Although you can hear some blunders such as forgetting things, the overall score is excellent. Beatleg magazine also praised the sound quality, saying, ``Even after 30 years, this quality is still amazing.'' What is interesting is the ``Sakura Sakura'' that is played after the I've Seen All Good People performance, after the MC says, ``I'm going to sing the Japanese folk song I learned last night,'' and the song ``Sakura Sakura'' is played, similar to the nursery rhyme solo stage performance of later years. Unlike the ``Shitoshita'' style groove, the band plays very firmly, including the harmonies, and you can feel the spirit and spiritual nobility of the band that approached everything with a serious and sincere attitude these days. is. Even though it was just a simple performance, the result was quite impressive. There are some parts that are frustrating, including the accidents around the keyboard, but it can be said that the legendary Tokyo 3 performances of Yes's early days, filled with a truly divine mood, are a must-see for all Yes fans around the world. The fact that the recording of the 1973 Tokyo performance was recorded with such outstanding sound quality that it even gave a sense of unity was a very fortunate thing in terms of historical verification. It is a kind of fate that the high-quality cassette tapes representing each performance, recorded by different tapers, are gathered here after 39 years and released as a set in the best possible way. I feel that it is an event that even gives a sense of inevitability. The sound quality is all equally wonderful, and all performances are recorded with exquisite sound that makes you want to rate them as "Perfect" considering the times. As for the missing parts, the missing part of And You and I 7:51 - 8:21 of the March 9th Shibuya Public Hall take on the second day in Tokyo, and the encore Yours Is No Disgrace and Starship Trooper are different sound source masters on the same day. It is supplemented more carefully and naturally. This other sound source is also of high quality, so with the appearance of this edition, you can listen to this day in its entirety for the first time from beginning to end. For the sound source of the performance at Kanda Kyoritsu Auditorium on the third day in Tokyo, the missing parts from the 27th second of Firebird Suite to the first minute of Siberian Khatru were connected with the first day's take and adjusted so that they can be heard naturally all at once. Also, Close To The Edge 5:34 - 6:06, which is missing from the original tape, is also connected with the first day's take. The sound quality has also all been improved, making it the perfect content suitable for a "definitely" album. Introducing a 6-disc set that is a must-have for fans and includes all three performances in Tokyo, which first came to Japan in 1973, in high quality.
