The 2014 Japan tour, which was Chris Squire's last tour, perfectly reproduced the two great masterpieces "Crisis" and "Fragile". The superb soundboard album is here. This work contains "November 25, 2018: Tokyo Dome City Hall". This show was officially sold for download immediately after the concert, but this work is the ultimate and complete version. Before explaining what is "complete", let's first check the position of the show. Let's check the tour schedule at that time. ・November 23: Tokyo Dome City Hall ・November 24: Tokyo Dome City Hall ・November 25: Tokyo Dome City Hall [This work] ・November 27: ORIX Theater ・November 28: Zepp Nagoya ・November 29: NHK Hall A total of six performances. After this performance in Japan, YES had a nine-month break. During that time, Chris developed acute myeloid leukemia and passed away without ever returning to the stage. Among them, the final day of the three consecutive Tokyo Dome City performances, "November 25th", was officially recorded and sold for download. Only attendees could purchase it, and it was an extremely rare official live work that was only available for one month immediately after the live. It was an official work that could be said to be Chris's last brave figure, but unfortunately it was not perfect. The opening song "The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra" was omitted, and the intervals between the encore songs were edited and deleted. You may think "the intervals are not important", but this was actually delicious. After "I've Seen All Good People", Steve Howe took the MC, and finally the last song "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" ... Alan White started to beat "Starship Trooper". Of course, no one followed, and Howe, who was annoyed, started to play the riff of "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" forcibly .... In the download, Alan's mistakes were neatly deleted, and it was edited to the extent that it was a riff with a lot of momentum. There were no mistakes. This work is a complete live album that complements such a deficiency. The base is the download version sound board, but the missing parts are made using ear-in-monitors (IEMs) intercepted at the scene and the superb audience recording "TRILOGY (Virtuoso 216/217)" master. From "The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra" and Alan's mistakes, to waiting for an encore and the hustle and bustle after the show, the sound board that symbolizes Chris' last tour has been restored to a perfect shape. Moreover, it is not just a complete version. The sound quality that permeates the entire work is the ultimate. In fact, the distribution started at 12:00 the day after the show, so the sound board sound of the download is rough and recorded. Although it felt like a super direct feeling that was directly connected to the desk, the guitar was a little prominent and distorted balance and the sound was flat. It was a little lacking in elegance to call it an official work. This work re-adjusts the sound as a whole. Of course, we did not force the sound pressure, but by making the outline of each instrument clearer, it creates a sharp and three-dimensional sound. The chorus work, which was thin at the source, can be felt even with the overlapping layers of each voice. It has achieved a sound of dignity worthy of Chris' last official recording. Historically speaking, it is the ultimate soundboard album that decorates the end of Chris' life. Musically speaking, it is a full live album with a wonderful complete live performance of the super masterpieces "Crisis" and "Fragile". The soundboard that only a few people who experienced the tour knew was finished in a seamless perfect form, and it is the ultimate one that has been polished to the quality of the official elegance. Since the official SBD sound source has a flat impression, by adjusting it, the prominent guitar was reduced, the balance and sharpness of each instrument was improved, and the range was expanded. The audience sound source was also equalized and connected to match the SBD equalization, so there is no sense of incongruity.
