Contains 16 tracks of studio outtakes from the second album ``Time And A Word'', 78 minutes of ultra-high quality stereo line recording. The original album had a very raw and raw sound balance, but these sound parts have been mixed with a more realistic and direct sound feel. Like the previous "Close To The Edge Demos & Outtakes", it seems to be a diff mix collection using multi-tracks. Therefore, if you listen to it with headphones and compare it with the official version, it will change instantly, but the balance and composition of the sound is completely different from the final version (even the tone), so it gives a very fresh feeling to "Another Side Of Time And A Word". can be touched. Sweet Dreams is a version that is 30 seconds longer than the regular official version, and at the 2nd minute mark, the official version has a rough effect on the left channel, making it sound like an intermittent sound, but in this take it is completely different. After the guitar solo, the instrumental part centered on the guitar continues to unfold, even when it returns to the vocal part 2 minutes and 20 seconds later. (This is similar to the take included in the first German edition in 1970 and used as a bonus track in the official remastered version in 2003.) The first track, No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed #1, is an organ song. The mix is smaller, and the 2 minute and 30 second guitar solo with a wah effect is also recorded with a louder and more direct sound than the official version. The overall sound balance is also quite different from the final, so you can listen to it with an interesting sound image. The handmade feel of Astral Traveler, etc. recorded with a rugged sound is impressive. The vocals with strange effects that can be heard in the official version are also the same in the "raw" take that can be heard here. Banks' unique solo play is a masterpiece. Time And A Word #3 is an edited version that omits the second verse of the song and goes straight to the chorus. The last song, The Prophet, etc., is recorded with a more direct sound, with the musical tones exposed, and the chorus processing is not applied as strongly to the vocals as in the official version, but this one sounds better than the official version, which has a strangely moody style. The result feels like it could have been better. 78 minutes that gives you a rough feel, but at the same time allows you to enjoy a more vivid taste of carefully calculated and stimulating ensemble play. A must-listen diff mix collection for fans of the band's historically important second album, which introduced an orchestra and demonstrated the symphonic direction that would become the core of the band's later sound.
