``8-person YES'' was a gorgeous co-starring unit in the history of progressive rock, and YES's largest experimental project. A video work that allows you to experience the scene at its best is now available. This work was filmed at the Worcester performance on April 17, 1991. This is the best audience shot. It is a show that is known for having the best images left in the past, but this work is not only about that. This is a multi-camera video edited using lavish footage from two cameras and two types of top-quality recording, and is a large-capacity three-disc set that depicts the full show of 2 hours and 52 minutes in maximum visual beauty. It is truly a “DEFINITIVE” masterpiece. Before we look at the quality, first of all, the position of the show. Let's look back on the entire tour, which was a one-time miracle. 1991, April 9th-29th: North America #1a (16 performances) ←★Coco★《“Crystal” released on April 30th》・May 3rd-21st: North America #1b (15 performances), 5 March 29th - June 30th: Europe (20 performances) July 5th - August 8th: North America #2 (28 performances) ← *Official "UNION LIVE" February 29th - March 5th, 1992 Sun: Japan (5 performances) 《8-person YES dismantling》 This is an overview of “8-person YES” activities. Basically, we toured North America/Europe for 4 months and ended there. Approximately seven months later, an additional performance in Japan was scheduled. The official video “UNION LIVE” was shot at the final performance in 1991, but the Woosta performance of this work is, on the contrary, the beginning. This was the 6th concert of "North America #1a". This work, which was recorded at such a start-up show, is a masterpiece that I would like to call "a miracle of the 90's audience". If you are familiar with conventional video, you may remember the ultra-vivid image quality that you would not expect from analog photography, but you will be surprised to see that the other camera used in this work is also comparable. Even when the viewpoint changes, the beauty remains uninterrupted, and the sparkling beauty of the images continues endlessly. What's more, I can't even think of the two cameras that make this movie worth watching. The reason is the stage. “8-nin YES” features a 360-degree stage that slowly rotates so that you can see your favorite members from any seat. As a result, even a single camera can change angles, switch to completely different angles, and look like a completely different camera depending on the zoom (during Howe's solo time, he switches cameras every time he turns around). The editing technique is fine! You can tell from the fact that the producer declares that there are ``two cameras,'' but you can enjoy a variety of angles just like normal TV broadcasts. Furthermore, two types of audio recordings are used. Basically, it is not synchronization, but mutual complementation, but the recording that is mainly used is the sound that shines anyway. Although you can't expect the closeness of a sound board, the core that penetrates the clear air is strong and the details are clear. Even though there are eight musicians with quite talkative personalities, even when their instruments overlap, they don't blend together. It is a delicious and beautiful recording with a symphonic feeling unique to the audience. The full show from the early stages of the tour, which is different from the official video “UNION LIVE”, is depicted with a quality that truly embodies the “beauty of the audience seats”. This is already a familiar set, but let's compare and organize it here. 70's Third Album: Yours Is No Disgrace/Clap/Starship Trooper (★) Fragile: Heart of the Sunrise/Mood for a Day/Long Distance Runaround (★)/Roundabout Crisis: And You And I (★)・Ultimate: Awaken 80's and later ・Lonely Heart: Owner of a Lonely Heart/Hold On (★)/Changes (★) ・Big Generator: Rhythm of Love ・Crystal: Shock to the System (★)/Lift Me Up (★)・Others: Make it Easy/Drum Duet (★)/Solly's Beard/Whitefish/Amazing Grace *Note: Songs marked with "★" cannot be seen in the official video "UNION LIVE (Standard Version)". Still, it's beautiful. Audience recording/photography may seem strange to the general public, but for us it is a culture and art with its own unique beauty. This work is a video work that was shot with the concentration of a maniac who knows beauty, and was painstakingly put together by another maniac. This is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy a more luxurious perspective than the actual audience seats, while also providing a realistic sense of presence that cannot be achieved with soundboards or professional shots. The best audience shot of the "April 17, 1991 Worcester Performance" during the "8-person YES" era. This is a multi-camera editing work that makes luxurious use of ``2 cameras and 2 types of recording''. Due to the era, it was supposed to be an analog shoot, but both cameras produce super vivid images that make you think they are digital cameras, and the 360-degree stage + multi-camera editing allows you to enjoy the variety of angles that make it seem like multiple cameras are being used. . The sound is also clear and beautifully recorded, allowing you to experience the full show of 2 hours and 52 minutes, which far exceeds the official video "UNION LIVE".
