I heard Yes perform on stage at the ``Progressive Pop Festival'' held in Cologne, Germany in April 1970, where great bands such as Deep Purple, Procol Harum, Soft Machine, and Tyrannosaurus Rex participated. Recorded with the best, surging sound that no one will doubt is an ultra-high quality sound board sound source. In recent years, a super high-quality master quality version of the live performance on April 3, 1970 that suddenly appeared. It was released in the past under the title "Every Little Thing", but its sound quality has improved by 3 ranks. There is an explanation of the sound source that "the microphone was set up right in front of the PA and recorded," but if that was not the case, it would be impossible to record such a miraculous sound. I can say with certainty that there is no sound source with more charm and content than this early live performance of Yes. To be honest, if this is the case, there is no problem at all even if it is released as an official bootleg record. No matter what anyone says, this is the Yes live album that represents this year. Young John's transparent and straight vocals, Peter Banks' outstanding guitar playing whose jersey and spacey playing perfectly matches the band, and Tony Kaye's sharp yet precise organ handling. The performance of these three people. Each of them is very attractive, but what is amazing is the intense rhythm work of two young people, 22-year-old Chris Squire and 20-year-old Bill Bruford. Fortunately, this sound source has an unusually clear recording of the drums and bass of these two. Let me explain each song... 1. No Opportunity Necessary No Experience Needed 20 year old Bruford! The lively, high-tension drumming is clear throughout the entire song. The repeated snare hits that cram in as much as possible are overwhelming. The full stroke four-note hit is so cool. There are also scenes where the hi-hat and snare combination becomes tangled! Anyway, the drumming is full of youth and has an excellent sense of speed that will give you goosebumps! ! 2. Then The thrilling snare roll that makes full use of the paradiddle in the intro is sure to knock you out! The interplay between Chris Squire, Tony Kaye and Bruford in midfield was excellent. (The opening 50 seconds where only the drums are left due to technical trouble is also interesting!! This part is a must-listen for Bruford fans!) 3. Every Little Thing The intense improvisation before the main part where Peter Banks and Bruford play is the best! ! Anyway, the arrangement, which is composed of one and a half beats, four notes, and a variety of rhythms, is a masterpiece. Breaks at important points are also effective. 4. Astral Traveler A percussive rhythm structure that uses a lot of syncopation is wonderful! 5. Everydays The thrilling development from the middle of the song is wonderful. In particular, you must listen to Chris Squire's free-spirited obbligato attack and Bruford's furious play! ! There are some cuts between songs, but there are no cuts to the songs. This disc contains the "Master Tape Edition" on the first half of the disc, and the "Remaster Edition" on the second half. This includes a highly complete version that allows you to enjoy a deeper sense of scale. If you are a collector, you should get both of the two excellent sound source versions.
