This work is a shocking video work created by a core maniac. This work does not contain one show, but a show is reproduced and constructed using countless videos and recordings with the theme of "TORMATO TOUR 1978-1979". It is a piece that is the crystallization of tremendous passion. First of all, the quality and quantity of the material is amazing. The most basic is the audience video shot in 8mm. Speaking of "TORMATO TOUR", it is known to core collectors that there are many pieces of 8mm video, but they were gathered and reconstructed in the order of the show's songs. In fact, it has been fixed into a video of more than 65 minutes. Moreover, this is not one performance. Let's take a look at the concerts where the video was used here. ・September 1978 Chicago performance ・October 1978 London performance ・November 1978 Philadelphia performance ・April 1979 Winnipeg performance ・June 1979 New York performance More than 5 performances. Since all of them were originally silent films, it was a demonic task just to determine which part of which song, but since the five performances have different angles and quality, the screw in the head is flying at the stage of the idea of "Let's do it!" Of course, even if the original is a silent film, this work is different. The precious 8mm film (and the best quality!) is overlaid with the best sound. Roughly speaking, the sound board of "October 28, 1978 Wembley performance" is used, but that's not all. Countless recordings are used to find the best sound for the video. The detail is so great that it's hard to believe it's a human work. For example, the guitar/keyboard ensemble scene and drum solo in "Starship Trooper" use the official "PHILADELPHIA '79", "Arriving UFO" and the keyboard solo time are "Boston performance in June 1979", and "Roundabout (No. 3)" is "Chicago performance in June 1979". The best part is "Future Times/Rejoice", which is a mash-up of the soundboard from the "April 1979 Quebec performance" and the audience recording from the "October 1978 London performance". Just imagining it is enough to make you dizzy. The synchronization is perfect, and even the fingertips playing the strings and John Anderson's mouth are perfectly aligned. It is the work of a maniac who wants to say "Didn't you have anything else to do?" with all his heart and soul to the maniac who produced it. To be honest, this work is 8mm film, even though it is the best. The focus is not reflective of modern standards, the costumes change frequently during the performance, and the songs skip in pieces. But that doesn't matter. I would like you to feel the spirit of being surprised and delighted by the unearthed silent 8mm footage, and the (unusual) guts that made me think "Let's make it into a form that can be enjoyed while watching" and the (unusual) guts that made it happen. I want you to touch on the psychology behind "YES is the best" and "TORMATO TOUR is great". The love of mania can be so deep and so deep... This work is physical evidence of that. It's not just a valuable documentary video, but it's also a joy to see the passion of the deep maniacs, and it's moving to see the greatness of YES music that makes maniacs go to such lengths.
