YES founders John Anderson and Chris Squire. A masterpiece video of the final stage of the two giants standing side by side is now available. This film was filmed during the final tour "35TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR 2004" in which the five members of the Golden Age came together. "September 19, 2004 Los Angeles Performance" The last day of this tour was “September 22nd”, but this work was the stage before that. Then, after the tour, John left YES, and Chris passed away in 2015 without him returning. In other words, this work is the penultimate scene of two people standing side by side. Such valuable images can be satisfied no matter what the image quality is, but this work is of a quality that can be enjoyed to the fullest even without such circumstances. It's angled from the front of the stage, slightly closer to the Squire, and right after the performance begins, you might think it's a shame that it's a distant view, but as soon as the performance begins, the audience in the front takes their seats all at once, and the view expands at once. After that, you can see plenty of exquisite visual beauty that skillfully uses many zooms of each member. And the sound is also perfect. With the front seats now occupied, there are no obstructions, and the outline of the musical sounds that cut straight through the venue stand out clearly. The bass, which is difficult for the audience, is also thick, and Chris's harsh bass sound is also beautiful. Even in the complex YES ensemble, you can clearly hear the subtleties of each of the “Golden Five”. On top of that, the feeling of John's angelic voice and chorus falling from heaven, and the majesty of Rick Wakeman's colorful phrases are unique to the audience. From this tour, the official video “SONGS FROM TSONGAS” has also been released, but the quality is such that it can be enjoyed as a 100% live audience version. Moreover, you can see plenty of “America”, “Clap”, and “Awaken” that were not in “SONGS FROM TSONGAS”. The image of “John & Chris” drawn with that quality is truly heart-warming. Of course, the two in this video probably never thought that they would break up in just two songs, and they were smiling gently and playing comfortably, as if enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of celebrating their 35th anniversary. This mood stands out in the acoustic set in the second half of the show. It was one of the highlights of the 35th anniversary tour, and the mood was warm as the members played around with phrases with humor. Especially in "Long Distance Runaround," he slightly changes the lyrics to make the audience burst into laughter. John and Chris playing the acoustic guitar and bass line up, their voices mixing with the sound... this scene will never return. While the loneliness that wells up is soothed by the gentle singing voice, it is precisely because it is infinitely warm that our feelings grow. It's wonderful as a concert video, but it's even more touching. It has been one year since the Japan performance, which was my final farewell to Chris. It is precisely at this time that I present to you this work that will bring back memories with him. (138:08) 1. Firebird Suite 2. Going For The One 3. Sweet Dreams 4. I've Seen All Good People 5.
