Mike Millard, an absolute master of recording history who loved YES music, has decided to release the original master. This work is recorded from the "September 23, 1977 Inglewood performance". It is a legendary audience recording. Speaking of YES at that time, Rick Wakeman returned and the "golden five" reunited. They toured the world with the "GOING FOR THE ONE Tour". First, let's look back at the schedule and check the show's position. "Ultimate" released on July 15th: July 30th - September 3rd: North America #1 (32 performances) September 17th - October 9th: North America #2 (21 performances) ←★Here★ October 24th - November 8th: UK (12 performances) November 11th - December 6th: Europe (22 performances) This is YES in 1977. The Inglewood performance in this work was the sixth performance of "North America #2". Speaking of the mirrored recording of "GOING FOR THE ONE Tour", the great masterpiece "LONG BEACH ARENA 1977" is also very popular, but this work was made three days before that. Speaking of Millerd, he was a person who did not like to record the same band many times, but YES is an exception among exceptions. They are one of the three major bands along with LED ZEPPELIN and THE ROLLING STONES, and he was such a favorite that he would record them as many times as he had a chance to see a concert. And this recording has also been a famous recording for a long time. Even before it was known that it was made by Millerd, it reigned as a standard for its good sound quality, and was upgraded many times due to differences in generation. "MIKE'S MINT" has been loved as a masterpiece (already out of print). This work was digitized directly from the original cassette of such a legendary recording. It is a very irregular case, but the reason is also irregular. In fact, the sound of the existing master was better than that of the original master. In the first place, recordings from the 1970s do not necessarily mean "original = best". The tape has deteriorated over nearly 50 years of testing, and it is possible that the 1st and 2nd generations may be in better condition. Rather, it was fortunate that this was not the case with previous mirrored masters. In fact, if you own "MIKE'S MINT", it is obvious when compared to this work. Despite being the original, this work has a narrow range and no growth. There is also a sense of instability due to tape deterioration in parts, such as the intro of "I've Seen All Good People". Although the excavated JEMS also tried to overcome such a condition, there are signs of struggle, but that has not led to any improvement. Rather, as a result of trying to suppress the surrounding noise, it has become a sound that sounds like it has a strange effect. I'm not sure whether I'm recommending it or not, but even so, it is an original master of mirrored. The freshness without dubbing is wonderful, and above all, the quality of the recording itself is extremely high. The closeness of the on core and the fineness of the details far exceed the common sense of audience recording. The burbling, gorging bass and the vividly dancing guitar and keyboard are amazing, like a soundboard. In the end, the ultimate was "MIKE'S MINT". The fact was confirmed by the discovery of the original master. However, even if it is not the pinnacle, this work is not average. It is a live album that is perfect for simply "experience the 'GOING FOR THE ONE Tour' with good sound", and if you have loved legendary recordings, you will be touched by the fact that it is the "truth of the original". It is wonderful even if you listen to it without knowing anything, and the more you step into it, the more you will be moved. The latest in the Omoto Master Series. The original master of legendary master Mike Millard has been released. Although it is not as good as the already released "MIKE'S MINT" due to the storage condition of the master, it is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the original sound of the legendary recording.
