The world tour accompanying "Tormato" was held from the end of August to the beginning of October 1978, with 37 performances mainly in North America, and 6 performances were held in London and Wembley in late October of the same year. After a break of about six months, the tour resumed in April 1979, mainly in North America, and 59 live performances were held in the three months until the end of June. This performance is a complete recording of the 29th performance from the 1979 US tour, the first day of the 2-day Long Beach Arena performance on May 25th, lasting approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes with ultra-high quality audience recording. When you first listen to it, you will be surprised by the wonderful sound quality, and collectors will be shocked by the ultra-clear sound that you can only hear from a sound board recording if you listen to it normally! In the first place, this 1979 Long Beach recording is doubly surprising because such a high-quality master has never existed. It is characterized by a dead sound, as if it was recorded with a microphone set in front of either of the LR monitors, and as a result, there are some parts where the overall sound balance feels strange. (This is noticeable in songs such as Rejoice, where some of the keyboards are far away compared to the vocals and guitars. The guitars are recorded in the run as if they were recorded, so it's like listening to a monitor mix. ) However, this super high-quality recording master is not perfect, and there are some defects from 11:35 onwards in the second half of Awaken to I've Seen All Good People, and that part is compensated for with another master on the same day. The encore Roundabout, which is introduced at the beginning of the song as "This one is called "Long Beach Boogie!", has a muffled sound near the end, but it is recorded again with excellent sound quality at the level of line recording.
