The YES recording, which was outstanding in sound and number of works even in the absolute master Millard collection. The last original master is here. The "Inglewood performance on October 5, 1978" is permanently preserved in this work. It is a super-class audience recording. Mike Millard's original master excavation, which has been continuing since 2020, was the band that produced a particularly huge number of works, YES. There are now many works with similar titles, so let's narrow it down to 1977-1979, when Rick Wakeman returned, and recheck the collection. 1977: “GOING FOR THE ONE Tour”・September 23rd “L.A. FORUM 1977 1ST NIGHT”・September 24th “L.A. FORUM 1977 2ND NIGHT”・September 26th “LONG BEACH ARENA 1977” 1978; “TORMATO Tour”・October 5th “L.A. FORUM 1978 1ST NIGHT” ←★This work★・October 6th “L.A. FORUM 1978 2ND NIGHT” 1979: “TEN TRUE SUMMERS Tour”・May 25th “LONG BEACH ARENA 1979 1ST NIGHT”・May 26th “LONG BEACH 1979 2ND NIGHT” 7 works above. Millard continued to record until the 1991 “UNION Tour”, but it was during these three years that both the taper side and the band side were at their peak. This work is the masterpiece of the “TORMATO Tour”, the day before the masterpiece “L.A. FORUM 1978 2ND NIGHT: MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES”. The soundboard album “DEFINITIVE WEMBLEY 1978: SOUNDBOARD” was also released at the same time, but it was about three weeks before that. This work recorded at such a show was the final edition of Millard’s YES collection, called “the last one”. The reason this work was the last was not because there was a problem with the quality, but because “The Big Medley” of this day was official in “THE WORD IS LIVE”. In fact, the sound flowing from the main wife is not only not problematic, but is suitable for the final edition of Millard YES. The old 1st generation version was also great, so I can't say it's a big change, but the original master sound with zero dubbing is still the ultimate. It has been known for its sound that is comparable to the official sound board of "THE WORD IS LIVE", but this work has a wonderful freshness that is like a peeled off skin. Conventional masters were often finished with mastering with a strong attack to erase slight dubbing marks, but this original master does not even need that. The completely unprocessed natural feeling is tremendous, and you can enjoy the reality that the air of the site blows directly from the speaker. The super natural sound depicts a full show that summarizes the golden 70's. As mentioned above, it is also the latest album of "DEFINITIVE WEMBLEY 1978: SOUNDBOARD" released at the same time, but unfortunately the excerpts are destined to follow the broadcast frame. On the other hand, this work allows you to experience a full show with the quality of the official sound board. To get a sense of the overwhelming number of songs, let's compare and organize the sets at the end. Tomato: Future Times (★) / Rejoice (★) / Circus Of Heaven / Don't Kill The Whale / Madrigal (★) / On The Silent Wings Of Freedom Others: Third Album: The Clap / Starship Trooper / I've Seen All Good People / Fragile: Heart Of The Sunrise / Roundabout Others: Siberian Khatru / Awaken / Medley (Time And A Word / Long Distance Runaround / The Fish / Perpetual Change / Soon) *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on the classic "DEFINITIVE WEMBLEY 1978: SOUNDBOARD". ...And so it is. "DEFINITIVE WEMBLEY 1978: SOUNDBOARD" was much longer than the official video "LIVE IN PHILADELPHIA 1979", but this work also includes "Future Times", "Rejoice" and "Madrigal". "Madrigal" was revived after Chris Squire's death and was included in "YES 50 LIVE", but "Future Times" and "Rejoice" were limited songs only in the 70s. It is a real treasure to be able to enjoy them with official sound. YES, loved by absolute master Millard. This is a two-disc set that permanently preserves the last original master. This is an absolute recommendation not only for collectors who are obsessed with Millard's YES collection, but also for those who simply want to experience the "TORMATO Tour" with superb sound. A superb audience recording of the "Inglewood performance on October 5, 1978". It is a master of the original that exceeds the conventional 1st generation, and the freshness that is clear to every corner without processing is exquisite. "The Big Medley" of this day has been made official in "THE WORD IS LIVE", but it is not at all defeated when compared. You can experience the delicious full show with superb sound with rare songs unique to that time such as "Future Times", "Rejoice", and "Madrigal".
