This week, four performances of the latest Japan tour were released at once. Among them, this work is the real deal. "One miracle" is now available on 2CD. By the way, have you seen this performance in Japan? ... Sorry for the sudden rambling. However, this is important. If you have not experienced it, please choose this work without question. If you have experienced it, please add this work to the live album of the concert you experienced yourself. Of course, all four works are the apex recordings of each performance, so I would like you to listen to all of them, but if you are thinking of "one of them", it is impossible other than this work. Such a miraculous live album is the audience album of "November 25, 2016: Nagoya performance". The sound is abnormal. I often write "It's like a sound board", but this work "sounds only like a sound board" ... no, that's not enough. "Official class audience" ... not yet. It is a dimension that can only be called "the miracle of concert recording" regardless of the recording method or the official / unofficial difference. Thick musical tones, well-balanced, vivid edges, rich sounds, beautiful growth, detailed details... everything you can think of is perfect. Such musical tones are particularly emphasized by the sense of realism, and there is no close applause or cheering at all. Of course, there are cheers between songs, but the musical tones are much closer than the presence of such an audience, as if they were being recorded on stage. The person who brought out such a miracle sound is the master "Western Japan's Strongest Taper". His ability has already been proven by countless masterpieces, but this work is a powerful recording that stands out among his collection. I think this miracle is also a coincidence, but it was never born by itself. Before explaining the factors, please first take a look at the tour schedule.・November 21, 2016: Orchard Hall "TOKYO 2016 1ST NIGHT" ・November 22, 2016: Orchard Hall "TOKYO 2016 2ND NIGHT" ・November 24, 2016: Osaka Orix Theater "OSAKA 2016" ・November 25, 2016: Zepp Nagoya 【This work】 ・November 28, 2016: Orchard Hall ・November 29, 2016: Orchard Hall In this way, the scene of this work is "Zepp Nagoya", which is in the latter half of the six performances. This is the point. In fact, this situation is exactly the same as the last visit to Japan two years ago. So, let's go back in our memories... ・November 23-25, 2014: Tokyo Dome City ・November 27, 2014: Orix Theater, Osaka ・November 28, 2014: Zepp Nagoya ←★Note★ ・November 29, 2014: NHK Hall How about that? It was the same Tokyo → Osaka → Nagoya → Tokyo flow, and the same "Zepp Nagoya". If you are an avid collector, you will get the idea. Yes, this Nagoya performance is the place where the masterpiece "DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 2014 (Virtuoso 224/225)" was recorded by "Saikyou". For those who are not familiar with "DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 2014", this masterpiece was touted as "the best of 2014", the ultimate definitive edition. For "Saikyou", who knows all the live spots in western Japan, this venue is his favorite. This is the place where various bands and musicians' masterpieces have been made, including ASIA's "LIVING A LEGACY (Virtuoso 143/144)" and "LIVE IN JAPAN 2014 - VOLUME 1 (Virtuoso 179/180)". Until then, YES had never played at a live house in Japan, and this year they performed at "Zepp Nagoya" for the first time, and a recording that even broke the limits of the audience was born. I'm not sure what album I'm introducing, but this work is the same "venue" + "band" + "recordist" + "equipment" + "position" as "DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 2014". It accurately follows all the "winning formula", and is a masterpiece that was born to be born. Normally, I should devote more words to the excitement of the semi-reproduction of "Tales of Topographical Oceans", which is being shown for the first time in Japan, but the miraculous sound makes me forget even that. This is a transcendent live album that goes beyond the dimension of "live memories" and should be remembered in the history of progressive rock recordings. It is no longer a matter of "which performance you saw", but rather a dimension that goes beyond "whether you are a YES fan or not". And if you are a YES fan, we hope you will enjoy both "DEFINITIVE NAGOYA 2014", Chris' last Japan tour before his death, and this album, the first Japan tour without Chris.
