This work is the definitive multi-camera video work of "TORMATO TOUR", which has been repeatedly upgraded by overseas enthusiasts over the years. This is the latest version for 2018. If you're familiar with the series, you'll probably already have a good idea, but for those who aren't, let's start with the basics. What is included in this work is one show format video. However, the material is not used only once. With the theme of "TORMATO TOUR 1978-1979", the show was recreated using countless videos and recordings. This is a piece that is the crystallization of a tremendous amount of passion. This maniac has released video works with the same concept, but the quality has been improved and updated many times. Last time it stopped at 65 minutes, but this time we finally reached a full show that lasted two hours. First of all, the quality and quantity of the materials are amazing. Here is a list of concerts where the footage was used. ・September 1978 Chicago performance ★September 1978 Tulsa performance ★September 1978 New York performance ・November 1978 Philadelphia performance ★April 1979 Montreal performance ★June 1979 Uniondale performance ・June 1979 New York performance Performances ★Philadelphia performance in June 1979 (Note: New footage added this time) The above 8 performances. It's overwhelming just the volume, which has increased significantly from the previous five performances, but if you look closely, there is no footage of the London and Winnipeg performances that were used in the previous work. All scenes have been reviewed and replaced with other performances. This time it is a full show that also utilizes “LIVE IN PHILADELPHIA”, but that is only a part. The most basic thing is the precious audience footage shot in 8mm. Speaking of “TORMATO TOUR”, it is also known to core collectors for having a number of fragmented 8mm videos, which are collected and reconstructed in the order of the show songs. All 8mm film is silent, so it's a daunting task just to discern which parts of which songs are used, but by examining and analyzing several seconds of footage of different angles and quality, we were able to find the perfect fit for the songs. It's synchronized. Just thinking about it is a daunting task...it took many years to reach the full show. Of course, even though it was originally a silent film, this work is different. The precious 8mm film (and of the highest quality!) is layered with the finest sound. Roughly, the “October 28, 1978 Wembley performance” sound board, which also became the super masterpiece “WEMBLEY 1978 FINAL NIGHT”, is used, but that is not the only thing. For the audio, we made full use of countless recordings in search of the best match for the video. The detail is also superhuman. For example, in "Future Times/Rejoice", the same "September 1978 Litchfield performance" and "October 1978 Oakland performance" as in the main press 2CD are used as a mashup, and "Roundabout (No. 3)" is "1979 performance". It is synchronized with "Chicago performance in June". As for the audio, fewer sources are used than in the previous work, but it's probably because the emphasis was placed on the audio and the video was matched. The seamless viewing experience has been greatly improved. Moreover, the degree of synchronization, the fingertips that play the strings, and the mouth of Jon Anderson are perfectly aligned. It's hard work just to produce a few minutes/seconds of footage, but it took a whole two hours of multi-camera work... This is an amazing video work that I can't help but take my hat off to. Of course, this work, which uses 8mm film as the main character, is not as complete as the official work. The focus may not be up to modern standards, costumes may change frequently during the performance, and scenes that cannot be filled in may be captured as still images. But that doesn't matter. He was astonished and delighted by the unearthed silent 8mm footage, and was so happy that he decided to make it into something that he could enjoy while watching, and the passion that led him to refine it many times and finally create a two-hour piece. is too wonderful. A piece that has been elevated from simply a valuable film record to a live work.
