This is a compilation of live footage of various audience shots from 1971 to the reunion tour in 1989 over a period of 90 minutes, including news footage, which has never been seen in Japan before. It is particularly surprising that there is footage of the legendary 1971 Forest Hills performance, which is still touted as a masterpiece among fans. You can see a video of a fan tearful performance, in which the sound of the audience source of the Forest Hills performance, which was released in our shop, is perfectly synchronized with the audience shot taken with an 8mm projector at the time, which cannot record sound. Even on a stage with a surprisingly low ceiling, Pete jumps and the Who's dynamic figure is captured in color. The quality is not that high, but just being able to see The Who's moving figure at this performance, which is said to have undoubtedly given the best performance in their heyday, is enough to be a topic of conversation. The viewer can see Pete's guitar smash scene, which completely destroys the Gibson SG. Other footage includes a close-up shot of the 1976 Chicago performance, taken by NBC, from under the stage. The 1979 Cannes performance was the first performance since the death of Keith Moon, when drummer Kenney Jones took over, and Roger's interview and live footage are included in the news report. From the '82 Farewell Tour, a close-up of the Syracuse performance was recorded by someone involved, and you can see Pete dressed up in a suit, which is a rare sight. The famous Shea Stadium performance is only news footage from the next day, but a few live scenes are inserted to give a glimpse of the excitement at the time. The footage of the Rich Stadium performance on the 1989 "Tommy Tour", when the band finally reunited, is a mix of one-camera shots from near the center of the floor seats and multi-angle professional shots. The last footage is a rare item, a video of John appearing on a BBC quiz show. All of these videos have never been seen before in Japan, and are packed with valuable footage that fans should definitely check out at least once. It can be said to be a complete "backstage live compilation," but it is a work of love that shares the feeling of true love for The Who, as it was diligently filmed, recorded, collected, and carefully edited by fans.
