The Who's 1970 was the peak of their live performance history, with the undisputed definitive "LIVE AT LEEDS: 55TH ANNIVERSARY ULTIMATE EDITION" still a bestseller, and the new "TANGLED UP IN WHO" which was also brilliantly revamped by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". The official Isle of Wight, etc. The impression of being blessed with sound sources is very strong. However, after the Isle of Wight, there are no items. In fact, the live performance itself continued throughout the year, and in November there was even a second live performance at Leeds University (unfortunately there was no sound source at all), but the sound sources are extremely limited to begin with. It may even be said that it was a period shrouded in mystery. This time, we are releasing one of the few existing sound sources from such a precious period! It was a performance in Münster, Germany on September 12th. Not only was it a sound source from an already precious period, but it was also an audience recording with very good sound quality. Of course, GRAF ZEPPELIN thoroughly supervised the release of this surprising first-time sound source. It brought out the charm of the very mild sound quality in monaural to the fullest. When you actually press the play button, a very natural monaural sound explodes. The analog feeling in a good sense is sure to satisfy the enthusiasts who have been hungry for the release of items since the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately, the middle part of the "TOMMY" part played on the day was not recorded, so it was incomplete, but as a result, it was a blessing in disguise that it fit on one CD and was easy to listen to. In addition, unlike American rock concerts, which have been actively recording since the late 1960s, audience recordings themselves are rare in the UK and Europe, and even if a sound source exists, it may be covered in roars or pick up reverberations. In that respect, this first-time sound source Münster has a large sound image and is very easy to listen to. As expected, this was an audience recording that "GRAF ZEPPELIN" selected for release on CD. And the performance was extremely hot. It couldn't be bad if it was a live performance three weeks after the Isle of Wight. But what about the wonderful performance of this powerful performance? From "Young Man Blues", the power and high tension that have evolved even further since the Isle of Wight, combined with the solid sound quality unique to mono, explodes into a spectacular performance. And yet, the natural listening comfort is also exceptional. But the best part is the second half of the live. From the opening "Summertime Blues", Pete shouted "Let's go!" at the moment the performance started. This is an explosive performance that surpasses Leeds and the Isle of Wight. Once again, it reminds us that the year 1970 was a special time for The Who. And speaking of the transition to another song in the middle of "Shakin' All Over", "Spoonful" in Leeds was a familiar song, but here it is "Twist and Shout"! Speaking of this song, it was often performed by John Vocal in the encores of the 1980s, but it is too precious that it is 1970 and Roger is singing it. No one sings the "Aaaaah" part (lol) and instead Pete plays the chords, which is extremely interesting. The Who's 1970 live performance, which has been released for the first time in a long time, is a rare first appearance audience, and the unexpected "Twist and Shout" is surprising! The highlight is Twist and Shout, which is thought to be the only performance from this period except for the reunion! It is a mono Aud with a very analog-like sound without the unpleasant EQ operation feeling, with only one CD recorded, and not all the songs recorded, but it is recorded with a very natural sound. After phase correction, each channel is repaired and the best of the left and right channels are taken and completely mono. The frequency band correction reduces hiss noise moderately without going overboard. Noise reduction is applied, and the waveform is not a seaweed waveform that increases the volume unnecessarily.
