The strongest live album of the strongest WHITESNAKE, which only had six performances, has been brushed up. The "strongest version" is the best audience recording of the "Stockholm performance on April 14, 1984". Yes, it is an upgrade album of the famous album "FIVE ELEMENTS", which was sold out and out of print with great popularity. Why is this sound source the most popular and strongest version? First of all, the lineup is the strongest. It is a scene of "SLIDE IT IN TOUR 1984" with hero John Sykes, but this tour is also famous for the fact that the members were changed during the tour. David Coverdale, Cozy Powell, and Neil Murray are the same, but the guitar and keyboard have changed. First, let's remember the changes. [Lineup #1: February-April 7, 1984] Guitar: John Sykes & Mel Galley Keyboard: Jon Lord [Lineup #2: April 8-16, 1984] ←★Here★ Guitar: John Sykes Keyboard: Jon Lord [Lineup #3: June 1984-1985] Guitar: John Sykes Keyboard: Richard Bayley (support) ... and so on. Most of the soundboards and famous recordings of this tour are "Lineup #1" or "#3". However, it is said to be the strongest "Lineup #2". Mel Galley left due to an accident, and Sykes, who became a single guitar, exploded with determination. He showed a great performance like a new-age guitar hero that could not be contained by dispelling Mel's absence. Up to that point, it is common with "Lineup #3", but "#2" has the genius of invisibility, Jon Lord. He also added phrases in both backing and lead, as if to make up for the lack of Mel. He showed off a colorful performance that was on a different level from Richard Bailey, who was just helping out. Later, Sykes said, "I'm glad the outdated organ is gone," but that was a bravado due to his youth, and perhaps a line of relief that there was no longer a strong opponent to compete for the lead. And this work is the strongest recording of such "Lineup #2". Their heroic figure is also included in the bonus footage of the official work "LIVE IN '84," but there are only four songs. In contrast, this work is a live album that includes the full solos of Cozy and Jon Lord, and is a famous recording of the strongest sound. The quality is a type that is called "like a sound board," and it is a famous recording with a lot of direct feeling that has actually been traded as a sound board from the analog era to the present. Moreover, this work is at a completely different level from the analog era. The new master, which was first released in "FIVE ELEMENTS", is clearly fresher than the existing group, the outline of each instrument is vivid, the details are vivid, the cheers are far away, and even the effects on the vocals are super clear. The sense of zero distance is depicted even more vividly, and it was a sound of a dimension that was not "like a sound board" but "isn't this a sound board!?" This work is a further brush-up of such a great masterpiece. The concept is "real sound". In "FIVE ELEMENTS", the super vivid edge and direct feeling were perfect, but the "sound" was a little light. In this work, the sharp edge remains the same, and you can also feel the rich mid-low sound that the band would have originally played. It is not only sharp and powerful, but also rich sound. [Excessively luxurious bonus track] This alone is a live album that updates the strongest, but this work also includes an even more precious bonus track. It is Holst's "MARS" that was recorded on the legendary master reel owned by Cozy. This reel was manufactured by AUDIO INTERNATIONAL RECORDING STUDIOS LIMITED in London and was in a special box with a logo. The client was "EMI", the artist was "COZY POWELL", and "MASTER" was handwritten on the top of the box. The contents of this valuable item are the actual "MARS" that Cozy used in his live performances. Therefore, Cozy's own drumming is not included, but you can hear the original sound of "Mars #1", which starts to build up from the beginning of the solo time, and the climax part "Mars #2" after the free solo. Looking back at history, it was the first time that Sykes, who has always played in a twin guitar band since TYGERS OF PANG TANG, went solo on this album's "Lineup #2". It was a live performance filled with surprise, joy, and fulfillment that "I can do it alone!", but also a fierce competition with Jon Lord, who became his biggest rival in his career. There's no way that could be bad. This is the strongest live album by the strongest White Snake, and the actual "MARS" that Cozy used. This is a masterpiece worthy of the name "DEFINITIVE", which shines uniquely among the countless WHITESNAKE live albums.
