After completing the Purple Restoration Project, WHITESNAKE returned to Masamichi's (?) "THE GREATEST HITS Tour" in 2016. A new excavation video is now available that allows you to experience the best of the site, where your ally Adrian Vandenberg also jumps in. This work was filmed at the Tilburg performance on August 11, 2016. This is a spectacular audience shot recorded in one night in Adrian's homeland of the Netherlands. As a shop that follows David Coverdale's entire career, we have naturally provided real-time reports on “THE GREATEST HITS Tour 2016”, but they are all live albums. (Surprisingly) this is the first time the video work has appeared. Although it was the first time, it was also five years ago, so let's check the show's position from the tour schedule again. [April 8th: DEEP PURPLE will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame] ・June 1st - July 2nd: North America (20 performances) ・July 12th - August 13th: Europe (18 performances) ←★ Coco★・September 9th - October 2nd: Latin America (11 performances) ・October 9th - 13th: Japan (3 performances) This is David Coverdale in 2016. The tour began about two months after the controversial Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. The Tilburg performance of this work was the 17th concert of the “European” leg, which is the middle stage. This work, taken at such a show, is an eye-opening spectacular audience shot...I guess. I suddenly felt a bit timid, but the scenery was truly shocking. After all, it's a series of super close-ups and high quality images. At the moment of the performance, there is a scene overlooking the arena seats on the first floor, so you can tell that it is a long shot with the center of the stage directly in front of you, but that is only for a moment when the lights are on. After checking the distance/focus from the stage using the luminous intensity, I quickly zoomed in. The zoom is so bold that Coverdale's bust-up fills the entire screen. This audience shot is synchronized with the rapid evolution of equipment, but I wonder if there was equipment that could achieve both zoom power and image quality five years ago...The extraordinary high image quality is so impressive that I can't help but think of the catalogue. It spreads out in front of. Moreover, it is super stable. Even if you pull it down to a size that gives you a panoramic view of the stage, or get close enough that you can clearly see the rows of Coverdale's teeth, it doesn't blur in the slightest. Although it was a time when anti-shake functions were becoming a hot topic, there is no doubt that this sense of stability was achieved through the use of a tripod. With that sense of stability, Coverdale, moving violently from left to right, was placed in the center of the screen. Keep capturing it. Of course, we don't miss out on the highlights of other members, such as the solos of each song, so it is impossible to achieve both crisp stability and active camera work with just a few audience shots. Yes, what makes me excited about the quality of this work is that it looks like a shot from someone involved. By deliberately placing the camera far away, there are no obstructions and you can see every point on the stage as much as you like. On top of that, he has the privilege of not worrying about the gaze of those around him, which allows him to use a tripod with a sense of stability, and because he knows how to run a show well, he doesn't miss out on the highlights. It is not clear whether the person who actually filmed this work was a fan or someone related to the venue/band, but there is no denying the fact that the term ``person shot'' fits better than the term ``audience shot.'' It is. What is depicted with such visual beauty is the greatest hits true to the tour title. Speaking of the footage after Joel Hoekstra/Michele Luppi joined, the official work "THE PURPLE TOUR" is the most famous, so let's compare and organize. Slide It In (3 songs) / Slide It In (★) / Love Ain't No Stranger / Slow an' Easy (★) Serpens Albus (6 songs) / Bad Boys / Crying in the Rain (★) / Is This Love/Give Me All Your Love/Here I Go Again/Still of the Night Slip of the Tongue (3 songs)/The Deeper the Love (★)/Fool for Your Loving/Judgement Day (★) Others・Ain't No Love in the Hearth of the City *Note: Songs marked with "★" cannot be heard on the official work "THE PURPLE TOUR". ...and it looks like this. Since the concept of the tour is different, it is natural that the sets will be different. The “★” marked number is also a familiar masterpiece, but it is a version that has been dyed differently by Joel & Luppi, and the video that allows you to witness it in the highest quality is surprisingly valuable. And above all, Adrian Vandenberg. They appear at the end of the show and perform together on two songs, “Here I Go Again” and “Still of the Night.” At that time, Adrian was thought to have retired and become a painter, but in fact, he had already formed VANDENBERG'S MOONKINGS. The guitar work has the same sharpness as it did in the 80's. At that time, this show was announced as "the last Dutch performance". In fact, it wasn't the last performance on the "FLESH & BLOOD Tour" as the Netherlands performance was realized (I get the impression that Coverdale has been hinting at retirement every time he visits Japan in recent years, and it's the same in other countries), This work may have been born because of the thought and concentration that it was the last time. It is a video of the ultimate quality that is so luxurious. A tremendous video work that takes you to the limits of the possibilities of audience shots. Spectacular audience shot of “August 11, 2016 Tilburg Performance”. A series of videos that have been released recently, with eye-opening close-ups and high resolution. In reality, it seems like the photo was taken from a distance, but the bold zoom that covers the screen with Coverdale's bust-up while keeping the center of the stage directly in front of it is amazing. What's more, the sense of stability that seems to come from using a tripod is superb, making ``involved person shots'' more fitting. The hit song from the GEFFEN era, re-dyed by Joel Hoekstra and Michele Luppi, is also a delicious and transcendent video. 013, Tilburg, The Netherlands 11th August 2016 AMAZING SHOT!!! 01.
