WHITESNAKE's 1987-1988 UK tour saw them make a triumphant return to their home country with the highly successful album "SERPENS ALBUS." The highlight, the sound source of December 30th and video of December 31st from the London "Wembley Arena" performance held for three consecutive days, is finally packaged on CD and DVD! This is a 3-disc set that WHITESNAKE fans cannot avoid, containing the best performances in the band's history in the highest quality! When is the "best moment" for WHITESNAKE led by David Coverdale? If you're an old-time fan, you'll probably mention the '80 Reading Festival from the 'Classic Snake' era, and in terms of great players, you'd think of '84, where Cozy Powell, John Sykes, and Jon Lord played together. Some fans may recommend around April 2020. Of course, those eras are worthy of the description of "best" musically and impressively, but it was definitely 1987 that Coverdale himself felt successful and felt a sense of fulfillment. It is safe to say that "SERPENS ALBUS", which sold 8 million copies in the United States and reached number 2 on the Billboard chart, was the pinnacle not only of commercial terms and the band's reputation, but also of Coverdale's performance and the band's playability. Furthermore, the UK tour in 1987, when he completely broke away from the ``former Coverdale of DEEP PURPLE'' and ``conquered the world with his own power'' and graced his home country, was the pinnacle of his sense of fulfillment. Probably. In particular, it is not hard to imagine that the three consecutive performances that filled the traditional large venue "Wembley Arena" were the ultimate symbol of success for British Coverdale. The Wembley performance became such an “ultimate stage.” Among them, the performance on New Year's Eve, December 31st, which was the third day, was released under the imported title "RULE THE WEMBLEY" and became a hot topic, with people saying it was "the best live video ever" and "an official-class audience (!?)". Furthermore, recently, a super powerful audience sound source of the second day of Wembley (December 30th) was discovered overseas. The quality is as good as the super video on December 31st. With the release of the sound source on the 30th, the video on the 31st has also been carefully remastered and made into a DVD, which fans have longed for! The Wembley performance, the "ultimate stage", has finally become a permanent preservation version, with the highest quality sound and images recorded in the audience seats 25 years ago! Discs 1 and 2 include the December 30th performance on the second day of Wembley from a top master newly discovered overseas. It is an audience source of the same type as "WEMBLEY WHITEOUT!", but the sound outlook, sound spread, vivid atmosphere, and better resolution are sure master quality. It also features a longer recording time, including the intro, compared to previous releases. Furthermore, the natural ease of listening with no noticeable equalization will make you realize once again the splendor of the band's musical tone and live performance. The opening song, led by the wild intro “Bad Boys” reminiscent of a storm, is a must-listen. Coverdale's vocals, which hit powerful and pleasant highs, are truly golden. It is not just Coverdale who is intense, but the twin leads of Vivian Campbell and Adrian Vandenberg will also captivate fans with their wonderful listening experience. In the songs "Slow An' Easy", "Guilty Of Love", and "Love Ain't No Stranger" from "SLIDE IT IN", they freely perform backing and solos, creating a flashy and melody typical of the late '80s. It rushes in like a torrent. You can almost see the fans in the venue standing up for the high-tension performance, and just listening to it, you lose yourself and get absorbed in the live performance. The wildness of "Bad Boys" and "Slide It In," the romantic "Is This Love," and the positive songwriting of "Here I Go Again" are all WHITESNAKE-esque at the time. The dramatic "Crying In The Rain" and "Still Of The Night" are the best performances with an unbearable metallic texture, and it's so amazing that you can almost hear Coverdale shouting, "This is the WHITESNAKE that won the United States!" On the other hand, no matter how gorgeously it changes, the fact that he continues to feature "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" is proof that Coverdale has not forgotten his roots. The fans in the venue praised WHITESNAKE, the “treasure of the British Empire”, with thunderous applause! The live ended with “Give Me All Your Love” and “Tits” closing in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The outro, where “We Wish You Well” plays, surrounded by endless applause, will leave you feeling wonderfully moved. The third DVD is a New Year's Eve live performance on December 31st, the last day of Wembley. This is a brushed-up version of a masterpiece video that was even said to be an "official-class audience." It's a contradiction to call it "official grade" even though it's an "audience," but it has realistic colors, image quality that shows every detail, a stable and unobstructed field of view, and an angle that doesn't miss the highlight even when you zoom in or out. It is not the dimension that you might imagine from the words "audience shot." The video shows the entire stage from the right side facing the stage at a slight angle, so Vivian on the left side of the stage seems a little far away, but the dignified camera work makes you wonder if the staff filmed it for material purposes. So much so. Tracking noise was seen in some of the previous releases, but this remaster has eliminated them as much as possible. The audio, which is clearer and more listenable, is also impressive, and fans will be glued to the screen from the opening! The sound source from the previous day is also wonderful, but the video is still different in its persuasive power. Coverdale overwhelmed the audience with a majestic performance that seemed like a ``culminating moment.'' The way he handles the mic stand in “Guilty Of Love” is heart-wrenching to watch! Adrian performs a series of actions that take advantage of his height, such as jumping on stage (the close-up scenes where he approaches the photographer are also eye-catching). Furthermore, the members all have an outstanding presence, such as Rudy's rock star-like staging as he runs around the stage, and Tommy Aldridge's powerful drum solo. Their picturesque performance, the brilliance created by the dazzling lights, and more all reflect the gorgeous band of the time. This video allows you to clearly see the details of the live performance, such as the members' facial expressions that stand out in clear outlines and the guitarist's fingering in each song. In addition to "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love" that make you listen deeply, "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City" creates a special excitement with the loud cheers and sense of unity unique to London. It's moving. After the performance, when the members express their gratitude to the fans in the venue and leave the stage, "We Wish You Well" is played with thunderous applause in the background, making the live performance even more memorable! Wembley 2 Days will be revived on CD and DVD, which is a long-awaited wish of fans. The finest sound source and exceptional video will knock out fans with the awesomeness that can only be achieved with master quality. WHITESNAKE was at its peak when they conquered America as a British rock band and overran the world as the darlings of the times. It records everything about how amazing they were at the time. In the performance in Japan the following year in 1988, there is the best sound board sound source “THE NIGHT SERPENT” of the same era, but this historical document is still suitable for recording from the audience. We hope you will experience "the band's best moment" with the delicious taste of the highest quality audience seating materials! This is the best packaged item that all WHITESNAKE fans around the world should collect!
