"THE PURPLE TOUR" revived the 3rd and 4th DEEP PURPLE numbers in the 21st century. We present a video collection that condenses the most memorable moments of the tour. "The biggest memorial of the tour" is the collaboration with Glenn Hughes and rare songs by DEEP PURPLE. Let's introduce them. [Highlight 1: You Keep On Moving] Glenn jumped into the WHITESNAKE stage at the "Beverly Hills performance on June 9, 2015". First, he appeared in "You Keep On Moving" in the middle of the show. This work contains seven types of audience footage. First of all, the first take where you can see the co-starring of the century in the best quality. With the latest digital quality of superb beauty like a professional shot, there are plenty of bust-up zooms. With super quality that is clear to each hair, the two of them put their shoulders together and sing with their faces close to about 10 centimeters. At the end, the two legendary people hug tightly... Just standing side by side gives you goosebumps, but they show off an intimacy that you would never have imagined before. What a scene of the century. The first take had superb image quality, but the sound was a little bit bass-heavy. That's where the second take comes in. The bass-up shot is similar to the first take, but the image quality is slightly lower, and the sound is superb. Coverdale, who barks, and Glenn, who stretches beautifully to the end. You can clearly see how the two voices blend together with the beautiful clear sound. From the third take onwards, the distant shots are a bit maniacal. You can see the co-starring of the century from every viewpoint of the venue, such as the second floor seats in the upper right, the second floor in the front, and the arena. The fifth take in particular has a wonderful sound that surpasses the second take. Most of the footage captures the entire song, but the seventh take is a shot that lasts just under a minute. It's also smartphone-sized and the quality is the worst, but it beautifully captures the "whole body" of the two people standing side by side, which is also not to be missed. [Highlight 2: Lay Down Stay Down] On this day, Glen and Coverdale also stood side by side in another song, "Lay Down Stay Down". This song is not just a collaboration, but it is also a purple number that was only performed in the early days of the tour and was not performed in Japan. The total number of performances is unknown, but it has been confirmed that it was performed four times on May 28th, 29th, and 30th at the beginning of the tour, and on June 9th. I wish they had done this song even if they had to cut out the WHITESNAKE numbers... Well, this is recorded in three types of video. Take 1 is a video that also makes heavy use of bust-ups, and you can see the two people singing as if they are playing around. The sound is also great, and the ensemble is arranged in a modern way, and the way the voices of the two people who met again intertwine is a masterpiece. The current WHITESNAKE system with everyone in the chorus is good, but couldn't they have just had Glen participate as a regular? It's just too amazing. The second take is a bird's-eye view from the second floor seats in the upper right. This angle gives a good sense of the atmosphere of the entire stage, with the two of them approaching, moving away, and then returning. The third take is from the front of the first floor, which is the furthest angle, but the thick sound is even better than the first and second takes. If the whole show was recorded with this quality... Highlight 3: Lady Double Dealer The last bonus recording is "Lady Double Dealer" from the "May 29, 2015 Tacoma Performance". Glenn does not appear here, but this song is also a rare purple song only seen in the early part of the tour, and has only been confirmed three times on May 28, 29, and 30. Moreover, only this one take is known from the video. There are plenty of arrangements that are delicious as a 21st century version, such as twin guitar harmony solos and vocal parts with breaks, so why did they miss it? It's such a shame. Although the quality of both the sound and the angles is not beyond the bonus track, it is a treasure take that is as valuable as the collaboration with Glen. It is a maniac video collection of only three songs, but it is also a piece full of rare versions. It is a piece that condenses the highlights of "THE PURPLE TOUR". Please enjoy the historic collaboration with Glen to your heart's content! Saban Theatre, Beverly Hills, CA. USA 9th June 2015 1. You Keep On Moving #1 (w/Glenn Hughes) 2.
