WHITESNAKE from the Warren De Martini era disappeared just by touring without leaving any official works. This valuable original recording is now available. This work is inspired by the "October 10, 1994: Nagoya Century Hall" performance. This is the best audience recording. Coverdale, whose COVERDALE/PAGE tour ended with just a performance in Japan, convened the new WHITESNAKE to relieve his frustration. We toured Europe/Japan/Australia to promote the best album from the GEFFEN era, "GREATEST HITS." This work is a live in Japan of a new lineup that welcomed former RATT Warren. However, it is also known that the sound source situation was not favorable when he came to Japan this year. At that time, tours without new releases tended to be looked down upon, and it may have been because they were included in the COVERDALE/PAGE of the century and the "RESTLESS HEART" tour that celebrated farewell. In any case, the number of recordings itself was small, and there were no notable titles other than the definitive edition "BEATING HEAVY". This work is a new masterpiece that puts an end to such frustration. First, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at that time.・October 4th: Osaka Castle Hall ・October 6th: Niigata Terrsa ・October 8th: Kyushu Welfare Pension Hall ・October 9th: Hiroshima Welfare Pension Hall ・October 10th: Nagoya Century Hall ←★This work ★ ・October 12: Sendai Sunplaza Hall ・October 13: “BEATING HEAVY (Yoyogi)” ・October 14: National Yoyogi Stadium A total of 8 performances. The number of performances and venues are impressive, and the number of performances is extensive, touring various parts of the archipelago. However, for some reason, it was only the recording that was unfortunate. This work, recorded on such a precious night in Nagoya, is an original recording directly given to us by a recordist who was active in Nagoya. It has been made into a CD directly from Omoto DAT, and this is a stunning clear sound that will wake you up. Although you can feel the evidence of audience recording in the sound of the drums and vocals, it is only a “sound like that” dimension. Anyway, there is no sense of distance, the core is extremely thick, and the details are super clear... Even if you judge it with every check point you can think of, it is the best that is comparable to a sound board or FM broadcast. The drums and guitar are especially amazing. The drums have such a wonderful sense of separation that you can clearly see the structure of the kit, and the guitars don't blend together even when the twins are intertwined. The biggest point of the 1994 tour is the combination of Warren and Adrian Vandenberg, so I'm especially happy about this sense of separation. What is depicted with such super clear sound is the full show of the “GREATEST HITS Tour” that summarizes the GEFFEN era. Because 21st Century White Snake toured with a similar concept, I feel like ``Greatest Hits again?'', but 1994 is similar to later years. Speaking of the pinnacle of this tour, the official professional shot “WHITE NIGHT” of the Russian performance is famous, so let’s organize the sets while comparing them. GEFFEN Trilogy (10 songs) ・Slide It In: Slide It In/Love Ain't No Stranger/Slow An' Easy ・Serpens Albus: Bad Boys/Is This Love/Here I Go Again/Give Me All Your Love (★)/Still Of The Night・Slip of the Tongue: Judgment Day/Fool For Your Loving Others (4 songs)・Soldier Of Fortune/Don't Leave Me This Way/Oi/Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard in the iconic professional shot “WHITE NIGHT”. ...and it looks like this. It even includes “Give Me All Your Love,” which was not played on “WHITE NIGHT” on the first day of the tour, and has evolved into a more thorough “GREATEST HITS.” Another key point is "Don't Leave Me This Way." Although it is an extremely rare song limited to this tour, the COVERDALE/PAGE song itself is rare in the first place. I have featured other songs on subsequent WHITESNAKEs, but most of them are just snacks. The only song that was played in the regular set every day was “Don’t Leave Me This Way” in 1994. And what is even more noteworthy than that set is the twin of Warren and Adrian, which is exclusive to this tour. This is very interesting. Since LA Metal's greatest heroes participated, it wasn't a very intense battle... At that time, the LA metal bubble had already burst, and the heroes who had been competing with their flashy skills had completely switched over to the blues boom. Warren in this work also shows off such “LA style blues guitar” style. All of the songs are filled with phrases that can't be heard anywhere else, but the most iconic one is "Slow An' Easy." Warren is showing off the slide guitar in the intro, but it is quite different from Mickey Moody. Mickey's original version was a true fan of Elmore James, but Warren's Dobro guitar makes him sound earthy and earthy. Vivian Campbell, Steve Vai, and Warren De Martini. Famous heroes have been replaced one after another in the role of Adrian's partner. Nowadays, you can enjoy Vivian and Vai's live performances with official live works, but Warren's will be difficult. This is a valuable piece that allows you to fully experience the precious Warren era Live in Japan with the ultra-clear sound that only Omoto DAT can provide. A superb audience recording of the "October 10, 1994: Nagoya Century Hall" performance in which Warren De Martini also participated. This is a masterpiece that was made into a CD directly from Omoto DAT, and has a wonderfully clear sound. Anyway, there is no sense of distance, the core is extremely thick, and the details are super clear... it is truly the best that rivals a sound board. The drums and guitar are especially amazing. The drums have such a wonderful sense of separation that you can clearly see the structure of the kit, and the guitars don't blend together even when the twins are intertwined. You can enjoy the best sound of the hit songs from the GEFFEN era and the precious "Don't Leave Me This Way" that have been changed with Warren's guitar.
