The Japan performance has been decided, and the latest live album of "THE GREATEST HITS TOUR 2016", which is going even better, is here. As I have written many times before, this tour is completely different from the previous DEEP PURPLE large-scale event, specializing in the Geffen trilogy ``SLIDE IT IN'', ``SERPENCE ALBUS'', and ``SLIP OF THE TONGUE''. Is this the golden age of “Metal Snake Era”? This is a tour that will make you listen to it. They are holding gorgeous shows with only big hit songs in various places, and the recording situation is also a rare bounty. At our store, we have reported on four masterpiece recordings so far, and one more masterpiece will be added to the lineup. That is this work, the audience album of “Lewiston Performance June 28, 2016”. This is also the fifth work from this tour, so let's organize it by schedule. ・June 8: Indianapolis "INDIANAPOLIS 2016" ・June 10: Hammond ・June 11: Northfield ・June 14: Cincinnati ・June 15: Huber Heights ・June 17: Detroit・June 18th: Rama “GREATEST HITS IN RAMA 2016” ・June 20th: Brooklyn “KINGS OF THE NIGHT: BROOKLYN 2016'' ・June 21: Montclair ・June 23: Hampton Beach ・June 25: Boston ・June 26: Portland ``POTLAND 2016'' ・June 28: Lewiston → [This work] The above is a summary of the schedule from the first "INDIANAPOLIS 2016 (Shades 652)" to this work. The energy to perform so many live shows in just 20 days is a big deal, but in that short time, five powerful recordings have appeared. WHITESNAKE is riding a wave of momentum and recording, but its performance is also powerful. A set list full of big hit songs created a cool atmosphere at the venue, and the band showed off their explosive power thanks to the audience's enthusiasm. The person at the center of this vortex, pulling everything together, is none other than David Coverdale. Although he is about to turn 65 this year, his sharp shouts are even more powerful and tug at both the venue and the band. While other musicians of his generation are slowing down their tempo and letting you listen to their stage performances, this one is the only one who never loses power. Although the keys have been lowered, it seems to me that they are lowering the keys to continue embodying the idea that "rock is power." Of course, Coverdale is not just about power. He is a person who has had many ups and downs, but on this day, the songs "The Deeper The Love," "Is This Love," and "Here I Go Again," which were placed at key points in the set, sounded like they were given from heaven, and he was earnest. The flow from "Sailing Ships" to the profound "Judgment Day" is really dynamic. The backing men who support this “man of eternal passion” are some of the most talented in the past. The best guitar player of all time is John Sykes, and the strongest technician is Steve Vai, but they really shined with their amazing stand-up play. On the other hand, the combination of Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra in this work is the most brilliant of all time. The compatibility of similar and different styles and the rich variety of drawers combine beautifully to transform the masterpieces of "Metal Snake" into colorful colors. ...I forgot to write down something important. The sound of this work, which vividly conveys such subtleties, is also wonderful. Although it is a little inferior to "POTLAND 2016", which had the highest quality of the previous five works, the extremely thick musical tones and singing voices are powerful and thunderous. Moreover, it is clear enough that you can clearly see the details. Furthermore, while you can realistically understand the enthusiasm of the venue, there is also a wonderful balance in which the performance comes out ahead of the enthusiasm. With the usual WHITESNAKE, the more the tour progresses, the rougher the voice becomes and the more difficult it becomes to listen to, but this time he has actually gotten better. This is a live album that allows you to follow the tour in real time while praying that this good performance will continue until the upcoming performance in Japan. For those who come into contact with "THE GREATEST HITS TOUR 2016" for the first time, we recommend "POTLAND 2016", which has the highest sound quality, but this work is the "next live" of that, "clear performance & intense excitement" A famous recording.
