A powerful live performance from the era of the Weather's most violent Alphonso and Chester has arrived! This is a noteworthy title that will be released for the first time in Japan! After Hours, New Cool Jazz members engaged in a lively exchange of high tension with each other, and the live performance of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in California on May 5, 1975, when the most violent Alphonso Johnson and Chester Thompson were enrolled, was recorded in high quality on a rare first master tape that was recently unearthed, and was carefully mastered by the label. Of course, this powerful version is the first to be released! When someone makes a trigger, each person immediately responds and fleshes out new material one after another, as if they were creating songs live, in a sense like the pioneers of jam bands. Weather Report's 1975 performance, featuring the unconventional rhythm section of Alphonso Johnson and Chester Thompson, was a barrage of exciting performances that were impossible to predict what would happen next. This 1975 Santa Monica performance can be said to be the best performance of the period when Weather's true essence, which has continued since their debut, reached its peak!
