VIXEN in 2014 overcame the death of founder Jean Quenemunde and decided to restart. A video masterpiece that allows you to experience the scene has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at the "Jim Thorpe performance on August 15, 2014". This is a spectacular audience shot. VIXEN has been on hiatus and revived many times, but the revival in 2014 was special. It was the biggest turning point. To explain the circumstances, let's first review the steps at that time. 2009 (August: Live activities suspended) 2012 (End of the year: Reunited with golden members) 2013 (January: Jean developed cancer → October 10: Passed away) (December: Announced resumption of activities) 2014 March 15-April 5: North America #1 (4 shows) May 23-August 15: North America #2 (9 shows) ←★Here★ September 12: St. Charles show September 25-27: Spain (3 shows) October 10+11: North America #3 (2 shows) This is VIXEN from 2009 to 2014. After the 21st century, VIXEN was a separate band called "Jean + α", but that was also on hiatus in 2009. Three years later, at the end of 2012, the golden members reunited, but before they could start their activities, Jean, who had been the founder and longtime leader of the band, developed cancer. After nine months of fighting the disease, he passed away. At the time of his death, Jean wanted "VIXEN to continue." The remaining three (Janet Gardner, Roxy Petrucci, and Share Pedersen) brought back former member Gina Style and resumed live performances in memory of Jean. Although the introduction was long, the Jim Thorpe performance in this work is one act of such a memorial tour. It is the final day of "North America # 2". This work, which vacuum-packs such a stage, is a superb audience shot that can be said to be a sample of a spectacular view. It is captured diagonally from the left side of the stage (Share side), but the point is the height of the viewpoint. It is clearly using a tripod, and you can look directly at the stage by passing over the heads of the first floor customers. You can see the stage without any obstructions. Moreover, since it uses a tripod, the sense of stability is outstanding. It is aggressively zoomed in, and at the very top, the screen is filled with Janet and Gina's busts, but it is still easy to watch without camera shake. Especially the formation of the three front members, who are close together, looks like a one-camera professional shot. From that special seat, you can enjoy a full show of tribute to Jean. Since it was also the opening act of GREAT WHITE that day, the time was short, about an hour, but it was a condensed collection of masterpieces from the golden age. Let's organize the contents here. VIXEN・Cruisin'/Cryin'/I Want You To Rock Me/Love Made Me/Edge Of A Broken Heart Others・REV IT UP: Rev It Up/How Much Love/Bad Reputation/Streets In Paradise/Love Is A Killer・Cover: Rockin' In The Free World... and so on. Five songs were selected from the first two albums, "VIXEN" and "REV IT UP," and Neil Young's cover "Rockin' In The Free World" was added to the set. Other than the cover and "Rev It Up," the rest of the album was the representative songs from the first best album "FULL THROTTLE," making it the ultimate greatest hits. And the way the set is written is exactly "that VIXEN." Of course, Jean is not there, but the persuasiveness of Janet singing the masterpieces in that voice while strumming the guitar is immense. It was the first VIXEN for the three in 10 years, but in fact, even during Jean's illness, the members of this album performed live under the name "JanetShareRoxyGina." Perhaps because of that, there was no sense of a gap, and Gina was well-familiar. It is a stage that is a memorial to Jean, but also spreads the dignity and spirit of the new VIXEN. After five years of activity, Janet left, and Share also left in 2022. As of 2023, only Roxy has inherited the gold sign. However, 10 years after Jean's death, VIXEN still exists and continues to sing the classic songs because of the restart in 2014. This work is a video masterpiece that allows you to experience the passion and revival stage 100% live. The best video of the just restarted by the three of them in the golden age (Janet, Roxy, Share) has been released. With a spectacular audience shot without any obstructions, you can experience the passionate performance in memory of founder Jean who died in 2013.
