A pro-shot compilation that includes the "80s New Wave" has been released! This work is a collection of the famous American ABC program "FRIDAYS". The editing concept is "New Wave", and the best episodes from 1980 to 1982 have been selected. This is the best fun! The lineup is amazing. A total of 12 groups and 30 treasure videos pop up one after another. The lineup is THE CARS (3 songs), THE BOOMTOWN RATS (2 songs), THE CLASH (4 songs), DEVO (2 songs + 2 songs), THE PLASMATICS (2 songs), THE JAM (2 songs), GRAHAM PARKER (2 songs), SPLIT ENZ (2 songs), JIM CARROLL BAND (1 song), THE PRETENDERS (2 songs), STRAY CATS (4 songs), THE BLASTERS (2 songs). There are some bands with slightly different colors mixed in, but the big names that shone from the late 70s to the early 80s are lined up. I think you can imagine how dense this work is just from this. The contents are more than just the lineup. Since it is not a single broadcast, there are differences in quality, but overall it is official class. Most of it seems to be master direct, and the image beauty is beautiful even to the eyes of today's digital era. Since it is a TV appearance, most of it is a performance in the station's studio. This is completely different from a normal concert, and the special set is elaborate, perhaps to change the image of each performer, and it is really interesting that they put in a little play and are strangely well-behaved. In other words, it feels like the "Western Music New Wave Edition" of the nostalgic "The Best Ten". Among them, the one that stands out the most is actually the unique THE PLASMATICS. The dangerous big sister, Miss Wendy O. Williams, is thoroughly rampaging! In "Living Dead," she plays a fast-paced rock and roll performance like MOTORHEAD with a mohawk, and smashes a TV that was brought on stage with a hammer. In the following song, "Butcher Baby," she dresses like an S&M girl, puts a potted plant (?) over her head, cuts up her guitar with a chainsaw, and fires a hunting rifle in all directions. To be honest, she spends much more time raging than singing, and even though she's wearing a black bra and white hot pants, she's not sexy at all (this is a compliment). This video is famous among fans of THE PLASMATICS, but I would like as many people as possible to know about this shock. Of course, there are plenty of classic highlights, such as DEVO, which is all super unique, THE CLASH, which howls wildly, and STRAY CATS, which gets the audience dancing wildly. Each band is full of 80s color, but the production of the program that shows them is also full of the smell of the era. Furthermore, it is a masterpiece that exudes a whole 80s taste, including the "video magazine" that collects them. A time machine that instantly transforms your room into "that era". The beauty of the images, the sound, and the "smell". ABC's weekly late-night live shows aired on Friday nights from 1980 to 1982 (106:52) THE CARS 1. Touch And Go 2. Shoo Be Doo 3.
