The legendary music program “SUPERSONIC” was said to be a “rival to TOP OF THE POPS.” The best master has been decided to be released. “SUPERSONIC” was truly a legendary program. It was broadcast on ITV, the UK's largest commercial station, for two and a half years from September 1975 to April 1977, and featured a large number of the latest bands and artists. At a time when artist PVs were not common, the program broadcast its own studio performances. It didn't have as long a run as the BBC's ``TOP OF THE POPS,'' so it didn't become as well known in later years, but at the time it was a rival program that could squarely compete with it. However, the big difference from ``TOP OF THE POPS'' was that it was not a ranking format. If I were to compare it to a Japanese program, it would be something like ``TOP OF THE POPS'' or ``SUPERSONIC''. This work is a compilation of such legendary programs in the highest quality. This is a 2-disc set containing 4 episodes per disc from the first broadcast (DISC 1 = 1st episode [September 1, 1975] - 4th episode [September 20] / DISC 2 = 5th episode [9 27th] - 8th [October 18th]). There is also a program DJ, but most of the time it's a combination of performance after performance. Although one episode is approximately 30 minutes long, each disc contains 30 songs. Some bands appear only once, while others appear repeatedly, so let's reorganize them by the number of times they appear. Artists including 3 songs (4 takes each): Alvin Stardust (Come On, Come On [2 takes] / Move It / True Love Is Paradise), BAY CITY ROLLERS (Bye Bye Baby / Rock N' Roll Honeymoon [2 takes) ]/Shout) David Essex (Hold Me Close [2 takes]/Once Bitten Twice Shy/The Main Attraction) Artists with 2 songs Arthur Brown/Cliff Richard/HOLLIES (3 takes)/Linda Lewis/ Rod Stewart / ROXY MUSIC / SMOKIE / SWEET One song each Artist Albert Hammond (2 takes) / AMERICA / Andy Bown (2 takes) / Andy Fairweather Rowe / Chris Farlow / Chris Spedding / Dean Ford/Gary Glitter/Gilbert O'Sullivan/HELLO/JACK THE LAD/John Miles/Johnny Nash/Justin Hayward & John Lodge/Leo Sayer/Marc Bolan (2 takes)/Marianne Faithful /MUD/NAZERETH/Paul Curtis/Pearly Gates/PILOT/THE REAL THING/SPARKS/STATUS QUO/Steve Collyer/SUNNY/Susie Quatro...And so it goes like this. Perhaps due to the characteristics of the program or the times, pop and glam rock music is featured in large numbers, with folk rock music and soul/disco music interspersed widely as well. The emphasis is on Alvin Stardust and David Essex, and the appearance of intense artists such as THE REAL THING, Steve Collyer, and SUNNY is a real-time experience. I'm sorry to say this, but the quality of conveying such a legendary program is surprisingly top-notch! It is not the first broadcast in the 1970s (1975 was the year when the first Betamax was released, and the VHS standard was not yet completed. General recording masters are almost impossible), but the 1999 rerun. A recording of the broadcast. Therefore, although the texture has an analog flavor, it has a crisp and stable feel that does not waver even in the slightest, a noiseless screen with no dubbing marks, and beautiful colors with no blurring. It's exactly like 1975... No, you can enjoy it to the fullest with visual beauty that would have been impossible on TV at the time. Although there are some American musicians such as SPARKS and Susie Quatro, the performers are almost entirely British. This is a video masterpiece that immerses you in the British scene of 1975 over 39 sets, 53 songs, 60 takes, and 3 hours, 7 minutes, and 34 seconds. A two-disc set that is truly a visual jukebox. A famous British music program from the 1970s has been released. It is a studio performance program that was said to be a "rival to TOP OF THE POPS," and the 1st to 8th episodes from 1975 are recorded for about 3 hours. Since this is a rebroadcast version from 1999, the visual beauty is extremely beautiful, with no signs of deterioration over time or dubbing.
