"LIVE 8", a legendary charity event of the 21st century, also known as "LIVE AID 2". The Japanese broadcast pro shot will be released. This music event was realized in July 2005. In conjunction with the G8 summit to be held in Scotland, Bob Geldof of "LIVE AID" proposed it to appeal for the eradication of poverty in Africa. It was held simultaneously in 10 cities around the world on "July 2, 2005", four days before the G8 (only Edinburgh held on "July 6" on the day of the G8), and more than 1,000 musicians participated. It was also broadcast on 182 TV stations and 2,000 radio stations around the world, making it one of the largest music events of the 21st century. Of course, the pattern was also broadcast in Japan. This work is an excerpt of about 2 hours from the Japanese broadcast recorded by a recording enthusiast. As a maniac who has been recording Japanese music programs for many years, the quality is superb. It is a pro shot that is truly worthy of being called "official class", but the editing is also wonderful. It may seem a shame to say it's just an excerpt, but since it was a huge event with over 1,000 musicians, it was quite a feat to see the complete set...or rather, it was almost impossible. This work is a carefully selected collection of 19 bands/artists that are popular in our store, and is a concentrated version of the best parts. The lineup is... [London venue (6 groups/19 songs)] Paul McCartney (5 songs + 1 song performed with U2), U2 (3 songs), Elton John (1 song), Sting (3 songs), THE WHO (2 songs), PINK FLOYD (4 songs) [Berlin venue (3 groups/3 songs)] Brian Wilson, a-ha, ROXY MUSIC (1 song each) [Philadelphia venue (1 group/2 songs)] BON JOVI (2 songs) ... and so on. It's not just a snack, each song is played in full. It's a finished product that can be enjoyed as a musical work. It's wonderful to see such a luxurious lineup of live performances. It seems like just yesterday, but it was actually 13 years ago. The cast is young, and the feeling of the era is here and there. Richie Sambora stands next to Jon Bon Jovi, and if ROXY MUSIC is still alive, Paul and the late George Michael will duet... And the highlight is of course the reunited PINK FLOYD. The miracle of "those four" sharing the stage, which is impossible now without Richard Wright. In this work, you can witness all four songs performed in the highest quality. This alone is a heart-filling piece. However, this work is not only that, it is also full of the taste of Japanese broadcasting. Japanese subtitles and simultaneous Japanese translations are also included at key points. For example, Brian Wilson's introduction caption says "Last year, the album "Smile" was released," and THE WHO says "Last July, the 40th anniversary of the formation, the first visit to Japan." The feeling of the time when facts that are now commonplace were events is revived in the mind. Furthermore, the subtitles that are not directly related to music are not to be missed. In the PINK FLOYD scene, the names of familiar leaders are mentioned, "G8. Eight men in one room can save 8 million people. Berlusconi, Blair, Bush, Koizumi...", but there is an eeriness in Vladimir Putin, who is the only one among them who still holds immense power. Also, the display "Mobile Menu → TV → ○○ TV → CS → LIVE8" that appears after "Information on upcoming artists can be found on the mobile site" is a strong sense of the times. Even though it was only 13 years ago, the Earth before the smartphone revolution is on the screen. What makes "LIVE 8" even more impressive is the simultaneous translation of the female voice. Usually, music broadcasts are subtitled in Japanese, but in this work, the translated voice overlaps with the MCs of Paul and Bono. "This is not charity. We are seeking justice (Bono)" "And the leaders of the G8, you cannot miss this. I love you all who acted for this message (Paul)" The words of the heroes are spoken in Japanese as if translating the presidential speech. This is the magnitude of "LIVE 8". It was never just for music fans, but for everyone. It was strange to suddenly hear someone say in Japanese, "Every single word matters. Remember that!" in the middle of a chorus of "Hey Jude", but at the same time, the real-time excitement of the huge event was vividly revived. Looking back at the historical facts, the Perthshire Summit was held under the theme of "development assistance for African countries", but the London bombings during the event almost overshadowed it by the "war on terror". However, it still won an increase of $25 billion for African aid. "Can music change the world?" is still an unanswered question, but it is by no means powerless. This is the largest music festival of the 21st century, born from bands and musicians who believe that. This is a video work that looks back on the year 2005, which seems close but is becoming far away, with professional shots of the highest quality.
