Big news for all heavy metal fans! The must-see footage of the "Dortmund Heavy Metal Festival" held in Dortmund, Germany in 1983, compiled with the highest quality professional shots, has been fully remastered and released as a gift! This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the legendary festival that is considered to be on par with the "Monsters of Rock" and "U.S. Festival" held in the same year! The quality of the broadcast material recording the performance of the seven bands at their peak was already guaranteed from the previous release. However, it was also true that the images that appeared in the past were inferior in quality, and conversely, the images with good quality had a low audio level, making fans feel that they were "one step away". Therefore, in this work that will be released this time, based on the existing highest quality master, the original menu screen has been added, and the audio track has been remastered, and refined to "reach the itchy spots" of fans, making it a material that can be enjoyed again by those who already know the live well. Disc 1 contains the performances of SCORPIONS and JUDAS PRIEST, who were the main acts at this festival. SCORPIONS was full of momentum after the great success of their album "BLACKOUT" released the previous year. With "Blackout" engraved with Rudolf Schenker's sharp cutting, and Klaus Meine's superb singing on "Always Somewhere" and "Holiday", their performance at the beginning of their leap as a global band is the best. Don't miss the performance of "Coming Home" from "LOVE AT FIRST STING" released the following year, which makes the "BLACKOUT" live performance, one of the hardest in the band's career, even more exciting! Next up is JUDAS PRIEST, who just released their historic masterpiece "SCREAMING FOR THE VENGEANCE", and their rising tide performance has a power that surpasses even SCORPIONS. Not only "Riding On The Wind" and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" from that masterpiece, but also "Freewheel Burning" from before the album release is featured here, and its rampage is so hot and crazy that it can't be controlled! The usual "Breaking The Law" and "Hell Bent For Leather" are also included, so fans will be more satisfied than the actual recording time. Disc 2 is packed with five (and very special) bands, showing the greatness of this festival. In the titles released in the past, the sound level on this side was low, but this time the effect of remastering is remarkable, and the sound is so loud and clear that anyone who knows the previous releases will be amazed! First up is DEF LEPPERD, who achieved commercial success with "PYROMANIA". Their show, which appealed to fans as a unique "wild idol image," was mainly built around songs from "PYROMANIA," which sold 8 million copies worldwide, and featured a succession of famous numbers such as "Rock Rock ('til You Drop)" and "Rock Of Ages." The well-balanced selection of "Let It Go" from the second album and "Wasted" from the first album was also appealing. Then came the turn of metal king Ozzy Osbourne. This live performance was held right after the release of "BARK AT THE MOON," which unearthed the child of the era, Jake E. Lee, and provided a shocking topic for fans. Jake's flashy and glamorous playing is a must-see. In addition to "I Don't Know" and "Mr. Crowley" from the Randy era, SABBATH numbers such as "Paranoid," which can't be finished without doing it, were also included, making it a best selection that doesn't feel short. Fans will also be happy to enjoy the lineup featuring the great Carmine Appice in a professional shot. KROKUS, who came from Switzerland, has received strong support in the United States and Europe for their unique songs influenced by JUDAS PRIEST and AC/DC, and they are showing a hot performance here that proves their popularity. The lyrics of "Long Stick Goes Boom" were laughed at in Japan at the time, but their live performance, which is like a picture of fun rock, is a must-see for those who have never experienced KROKUS. QUIET RIOT is also like KROKUS, and their presence and stage, which represents the L.A. metal movement, such as "Cum On Feel The Noise" and "Slick Black Cadillac" selected from the smash hit "METAL HEALTH", are fun to watch, and fans who knew them at the time will love it. The final act is MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, who were just released "BUILT TO DESTROY". Although the number of songs is limited to four, the selection condenses the strengths of the band at that time, with "Into The Arena" and "Courvoisier Concerto" where you can enjoy Michael's guitar to the fullest, and "Rock Will Never Die" where Gary Barden's strengths shine. The last song, "Doctor Doctor", is an emotional grand finale to the 190-minute work on two DVDs! Each live performance is not recorded in its entirety, and only the highlights are recorded for KROKUS, QUIET RIOT, and M.S.G., but the actions of today's big bands in their younger days, such as SCORPIONS, a representative of Germany, JUDAS PRIEST, who have had the presence of metal gods since their days, and OZZY OSBOURNE, where the dynamism of Jake, who joined the band at the time, shines, will amaze the younger generation of fans who got to know them later! The massive performance, spanning over 3 hours and featuring spectacular performances filling the entire stage, is truly a world heritage of metal!
