"The Greatest Monsters of Rock in History" features Iron Maiden, who will be making their first appearance at Donington, as the headliner, along with Kiss, Dave Lee Roth, and the strongest bands, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, and Halloween, who were all included in this three-disc set. The first three bands from Monsters of Rock in 1988, when 100,000 spectators went wild on the field and two people were crushed to death, were recorded in order of appearance. The recorder is Crazy S., and all three bands are completely recorded with a super sound that is clear and has excellent separation, which is unusual for an outdoor live performance at the time. All three performances were released by the Langley label exactly 10 years ago under the titles "Donnington 1988" and "Don't Fuckin' Kill Each Other", but this work has been appropriately remastered from the original master to achieve the best sound quality and content. First, Halloween, recorded on disc 1. The first performance is about 41 minutes long. Listeners will be amazed by the clear sound, like a line recording. Just before the release of "Keeper Of Seven Keys Part 2", they played Dr. Stein and Eagle Fly Free as new songs. In the short time they had, they suddenly performed the big song Helloween in the second song, and in front of Dr. Stein, Michael Kiske had a long exchange with the audience. Fans will be happy to see the Halloween live performance at this time, with Michael Kiske, who captivated fans with his tremendous voice volume and stunning vocal control, and Kai Heisen, who left the band later that year. Volume correction has been performed, so you can enjoy the whole picture of the show with better sound than the original version. Disc 2 contains a complete recording of about 46 minutes of the stage of Guns & Roses, who appeared second. The most important sound source that made fans around the world know that "Crazy S.'s recording is amazing!" This is a must-listen recording for fans, capturing the ultra-clear sound quality and the band's fascinating performance in a strange situation with the best sound. This live performance is also rare in terms of documentation. You can hear the vivid sound of the catastrophe in which two spectators were crushed to death during this Guns & Roses show, forcing the event at the same venue the following year to be canceled. The black-and-white film footage that can be seen in the PV for "Paradise City" is from this very day and time, and the performance at that time is recorded in detail and uncut. The live starts with a light-hearted It's So Easy, but after two songs, the band is unable to continue the next song due to the strange excitement and situation in the venue, so the band quickly replaces the set list that was prepared and plays slow-tempo songs to calm the audience, and you can enjoy the scene of Axl and Slash desperately persuading them to "step back a little more" with the clearest and most vivid sound. If you listen to it calmly, there are some tape irregularities, but as a record of a live performance, it can be said to be the best take in every sense. It is definitely one of the "must-listen for all rock fans". Disc 3 contains a complete 54-minute live performance of Megadeth, who appeared third. The sound image, which was slightly to the right, has been appropriately corrected. Volume correction has been performed, and you can enjoy the whole picture of the show with a better sound than the original version. This was the release period of the third album, "So Far So Good...So What!", and the guitar at this time was Jeff Young and the drummer was Chuck Beeler. The sound quality is clear and the separation is excellent. Around 30 seconds into the second song, The Conjuring, a strong PA noise occurred, and it is recorded that the audience was surprised. The performance with a sense of scale is the best, and you can enjoy a punchy and powerful performance featuring a solid, unique rhythm and complex riffs that were described as "intellectual thrash" at the time. In Anarchy In The UK, Axl Rose and Lars Ulrich appear as guest choruses, adding glamour to the historic stage. All three bands are captured with a "miraculous" level of quality sound for an outdoor live performance, making this the strongest three-disc title that allows you to feel the excitement of heavy metal in the late 1980s in a real way. Enjoy the best remastered version of the strongest collection of sound sources that first appeared 10 years ago!
