“LIVE AID” has suddenly been attracting a lot of attention since the QUEEN movie “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The ultimate pro shot that brings back the shock and excitement of 33 years ago is set to be released. This is amazing! This work contains multi-camera professional shots of the biggest event of the century. That pattern is also included in the official box, but this is not the case with this product. This is the Japanese broadcast version that was broadcast on commercial stations at the time. This work was recorded by a domestic recording enthusiast. Since this major event is so long, it is not a complete view, but we have compiled the best of it, focusing on the highlights. You can enjoy plenty of 27 songs from 13 groups, 8 groups from JFK Stadium in the United States and 5 groups from Wembley Stadium in England. This editing is really good. Japanese Broadcasting had commercials and unnecessary chatter in the station studio mercilessly inserted even during the performance, but this maniac cut out such unnecessary scenes as much as possible. You can fully enjoy only the essential live scene. Of course, many of the songs are on the official DVD, and some songs may be skipped in the middle due to cuts. However, what makes up for this is the songs that were not included on the official DVD and the sense of the times that comes from being broadcast live. First, let's list the songs that are not on the official DVD: "Children Of The Grave" and "Iron Man" by the reunited BLACK SABBATH, "Hold Me Now" by THOMPSON TWINS, and "Rock And Roll" and "Stairway" by the reunited LED ZEPPELIN. To Heaven" and Mick Jagger's "Lonely At The Top." Also, even though it is included in the official DVD, Paul McCartney is unique to the broadcast. The biggest blunder of the century was that Freddie Mercury and Brian May's singing voice went off because the staff of Freddie Mercury and Brian May, who had just appeared on the show, pulled the plug. On the official DVD, the vocals recorded at the BBC studio the next day were overdubbed, but this work reproduces the same sense of urgency as the live broadcast. Of course, if the vocals that can be faintly heard are live voices from the scene, the roar of the audience when the singing voice revives after a momentary interruption is also recorded realistically. Moreover, the quality is top notch. Of course, it's not as good as the official DVD because it's just an air check, but the master freshness is outstanding because it's a recording enthusiast. There is no white line noise or deterioration, and the image is so beautiful that it can be used as is in the official archive. [Japanese subtitles that bring out the sense of the times] That alone is a must-see, but in reality, this is just a sideshow. The biggest point of this work is the strong sense of the times that even the songs that are not officially recorded are a prelude. The key to this is Japanese captions and simultaneous interpretation. This is already full of the scent of “1985”. The telop that solicits donations only has a 9-digit phone number, and there are currently no banks accepting donations (Fuji Bank, Mitsubishi Bank, Sumitomo Bank, Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank). Even more powerful are the unique Japanese subtitles that introduce each band/artist. For example, Paul McCartney said, ``Last year, the movie ``Ya! 'Hero' is also sung by the singer. Mick Jagger also says, ``This year, he will release his first solo album, She's the Boss, and break new ground.''But what's even more poignant is that he says, ``He hasn't set foot on Japanese soil yet.'' One sentence: “Not there.” Although I remember the vertical history of each band, when I traverse it, I get a strong sense of ``Ah, this is what it was like back then.'' Furthermore, the blurring effect that was unique to that time is amazing. Even for BLACK SABBATH, it is easy to mistake that they were formed in 1967 (in fact, in 1968). They are introduced as "Group". Even though it was an original reunion that attracted the attention of the world, its weight and importance as the founder of heavy music were completely ignored. This is Japan in the 1980s (although it's similar to the United States, where the cover of ``BORN AGAIN'' is inserted as the latest work). Even more intense is LED ZEPPELIN, whose reunion also shocked the world. The subtitle that plays during the exciting moment of the century reads, ``Robert Plant with Phil Collins... Their relationship began after Phil Collins played drums in ``Portrait at Eleven O'clock''.'' Well, it was certainly a composition where a plant appeared on Phil's stage, and it was not officially called ZEP. Well, maybe the Japanese side didn't know... Just when I thought that, a subtitle introducing Jimmy Page played. Hey, you know Paige is going to appear! I feel like lecturing the staff from 33 years ago for about an hour, telling them to talk about the greatness of ZEP and the importance of their reunion. ). [Simultaneous interpretation with outstanding destructive power] This alone is enough to fill my stomach, but this work is still relentless. Simultaneous interpretation explodes with destructive power that exceeds the subtitles. This is already a mess. For example, in the scene where David Bowie introduces the members, the male interpreter keeps misspelling their names. Matthew Seligman is ``Sullivan,'' Claire Hurst is ``Cairn Purston,'' and Thomas Dolby is ``Thomas Robin.'' It's still better to have a vestige of his real name, with Neil Conti blurting out the name "Office" and the non-existent name "Endina" on backing vocals. The more intense one (again) is ZEP. Phil Collins says in English, ``Let me introduce you to my friends. Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Tony Thomson!'' The translation that overlaps with the words is ``These are the members of the band. Robert Powers and John Thompson.'' Hey hey hey. "Who is that?" A deadly force that wipes away even the will to rush in. Not only are the names different, but the numbers don't even match. To be honest, at the time I was so excited to witness the moment of the century that I missed it, but those who noticed it must have been disappointed. He's such an idiot that all I can say is, "If you don't know anything, just shut up!" The female interpreter turns around and says, "Simultaneous interpretation is difficult," after seeing the clumsy translation. In this broadcast, a male MC is simultaneously interpreted by a male translator, and a female MC is simultaneously interpreted by a female translator, and this woman is an expert. In this work, she appears in the Madonna version, and you can hear the wonderful translation. In Pette Midler's introduction, she brilliantly bypasses the sarcasm about the star Madonna, saying, ``Why do I have to introduce this girl?'' and naturally speaks words such as ``bra'' and ``virgin'' that men would be at a loss for. I say it. In addition, Madonna's refreshing and moving MC also translates smoothly and without hesitation. Let's transcribe it a bit. "Let me take this opportunity to thank you all. As you all know, today's concert is full of stars performing. But the important thing, I think, is that you It's not about who it is, it's about Why are you here? I'm so happy that you're here. Can you all hear me? What about the people in the back row?" Who's still here after 33 years? A wonderful MC that pierces the heart of those who were always focused on... She didn't wait for Madonna to finish saying it, and translated it simultaneously and fluidly, without interjecting "ah" or "um". After all, amazing people aren't amazing... and I was reminded of the skills of a true professional. It's already quite long, but the bulk of this work is, of course, the many wonderful stages that took place during the events of the century. The reunion of SABBATH and ZEP that excited the world, Paul's youthful appearance, Madonna's passionate singing that bounces back from sarcasm, Mick who brings it all with his dignified performance, etc. In the summer of 1985, I was excited about each and every song. Nippon Broadcasting System brings back the feelings you had when you were glued to the TV, and even the smell of your room at that time. This reality cannot be recreated with any official DVD. Time travel can only be experienced because you are Japanese and lived at that time. Please enjoy this work to the fullest. Wembley Stadium, London, UK 13th July 1985 JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, USA 13th July 1985(123:18) BLACK SABBATH The subtitle explaining the band is a bit vague: ``Black Sabbath... Formed in Birmingham, England in 1967, known as a group that included many famous vocalists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Tio (sic), and Ian Gillan. A group that has released albums that will go down in rock history and has been worshiped by fans for over 10 years as a heavy metal veteran group.''The jacket of ``Born Again'' is introduced as their latest work at this point. Children Of The Grave 2. Iron Man 3. Paranoid JUDAS PRIEST The subtitles explaining the band are decent. 4. Living After Midnight THOMPSON TWINS The subtitles explaining the band are decent. Hold Me Now sometimes cuts off in the middle ERIC CLAPTON 6. Layla The opening line, ``Donation reception phone number 03-359-1000,'' appears in your face. At the end, ``Thank you very much. In The Air Tonight LED cut out midway through ZEPPELIN Phil continues to introduce Zeppelin Here is where the interpreter makes a big blunder ``I would like to introduce a friend.Eh... It's the members of the band. Robert Powers and John Thompson."The cover of ZEP's historic reunion is Plant's Shaken 'N' Stirred. Interpreting Plant's opening MC in a strange tone: ``Good evening, everyone. Roll "Jimmy Page" appears in the caption of the guitar solo After that, Jimmy's biography is played in the caption "Robert Plant" With Phil Collins...Vocalist of Led Zeppelin, one of the rock world's most prominent supergroups, which debuted in 1968.The group disbanded in 1980 with the sudden death of drummer John Bonham. They started dating after Phil Collins joined the group on drums. It is rumored that a Zeppelin number will be played at this concert. "Jimmy Page...guitarist born in Middlesex in 1944. Participated as a guitarist in various sessions and even played with the Crusaders. However, his unique guitar playing as a member of Led Zeppelin is the most famous of his activities as a guitarist.'' 9. Stairway To Heaven Starts in the middle of the song after the commercial. Afterwards, a studio scene plays due to a broadcast problem, but it quickly returns to normal (you can hear Hemi and others saying, "It's okay.") John Paul is playing the electric piano on DX7 (unique to this era). During the last part of the song, a donation is received. The number appears in big numbers. From here, the performance scene from the British side continues (other than Madonna and Mick) DIRE STRAITS 10 Sultans of Swing, amazing play, both the band and the guitar, as expected U2 11. Sunday Bloody Sunday The band's caption commentary is decent. Bono is wearing a Japanese school uniform, so it's always weird to watch QUEEN At the beginning, the two American hosts who have not yet been released are introduced (6 seconds of recording for the first time) 12. Bohemian Rhapsody 13. Radio Ga Ga 14. Day -O 15. Hammer To Fall 16. Crazy Little Thing Called Love DAVID BOWIE 17. Modern Love 18. Drums: Cairn Perston (actually Claire Hurst); vocals, Endina; synthesizer and keyboard: Thomas Robin (actually Thomas Dolby). , I dedicate it to my children, the children who will be born tomorrow.” MADONNA Bed Midler's opening introduction (It seems that she was negative towards Madonna, but the truth is unknown) "Madonna has been active like a man, so sometimes she goes without a bra like a man. She's a great singer and a virgin!'' 19. Holiday - Great MC between songs. The female interpreter is also great (men are no good). But I think what's important is not who you are, but why you're here. Can you all hear me? What about the people in the back row?” “Are you knocking, everyone in the world? I think everyone is knocking.” 20. Into The Groove A passionate performance from start to finish. Great performance. It's good to see that there's a lot of commotion on the side of the stage too. BRYAN FERRY 21. Slave To Love 22. Jealous Guy PAUL McCARTNEY 23. Let It Be The highlight: After the song cuts out, the vocals and piano turn on. It's good that the caption explanations are appropriate for this period. She looked young even though she was 33 years old. "Paul McCartney...A genius songwriter who continued to produce many famous songs that will go down in history with the late John Lennon (sic) during the Beatles era. Even after the Beatles disbanded, he formed Wings and continued to produce hit songs as a solo artist. Last year, the movie ``Ya! Broadstreet,'' which he produced, directed, starred in, and composed the music, was released and became a hot topic. ” Katakana credits are also included in the introduction of the 4-person chorus David Bowie Alison Moyett Pete Townshend Bob Geldof MICK JAGGER Recorded performance As expected Professional Message “This year's first solo album ``She's the Boss'' ” and break new ground. I have not set foot on Japanese soil yet. 24. Lonely At The Top 25. Just Another Night Unnecessary Interpreter "Do you still have any energy left? That's how it is." 26.
