“June 26, 2013: Osaka City Central Gymnasium” was the last live performance of the great Eddie Van Halen during his lifetime. A super-scenic video that allows you to fully experience the seven parts has been decided to be released. Speaking of their last visit to Japan, it is also left as their official live album "TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT" which became their posthumous work. First of all, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show.・June 18th: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium ・June 21st: Official “TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT” ・June 24th: Osaka City Central Gymnasium ・June 26th: Osaka City Central Gymnasium ←★This work★ Above, Total of 4 performances. The Osaka performance was the final two consecutive performances, but this work is the “last one”. Of course, Eddie Van Halen passed away without coming to Japan after this, so this work was VAN HALEN’s last live in Japan. This work was shot at such a memorial show, but the actual quality is far from that. The photo was taken from the right side of the stage (Wolfgang's side), but what is frightening is how close the stage is. What a front row shot! In fact, the spectacular view will leave you speechless. After all, if you capture Dave, it will be a close-up of the teeth, and Eddie's hand on the other side of the stage can also be seen up to the veins. Moreover, the super close-up is very stable. At the time, it seems that Dave himself said it was okay to take pictures, but I never expected that the stability would be with a tripod...!? The super close-up alone is enough to blow your mind, but when you pull it back, you'll be even more surprised. Even if I pull back and pull back and get a panoramic view, I can't see a single customer. The only people in front of us were the members and the camera crew in the camera pit, and if they were not careful, it would look like a sound check. In fact, the audience may be filming, but what you feel from this work is more of a stakeholder shot than an audience shot. It is a shocking video with a strong sense of “VAN HALEN monopolized” to that extent. What is depicted with such visual beauty is a full show where "Japan's last" permeates through each song and each note. It is very similar to his posthumous work "TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT", but it is not exactly the same, so let's organize the set.・Flame Fuse: Runnin' With The Devil/I'm the One/You Really Got Me/Ice Cream Man/Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love ・Legendary Bomber: Somebody Get Me A Doctor/Dance The Night Away /Women In Love/Beautiful Girls・Dark Law: Everybody Wants Some!!/And the Cradle Will Rock/Romeo Delight・Martial Law: Unchained/Hear About It Later・Diver Down: (Oh) Pretty Woman・1984: I' ll Wait/Hot For Teacher/Panama/Jump a Different Kind of Truth: She's The Woman/Tattoo/China Town...and so on. To put it bluntly, it's a style that omits "Mean Street" from "TOKYO DOME LIVE IN CONCERT." And the performance that spins that set is amazing. Normally, Dave's Japanese MCs, such as "What are you pretending not to know?" and "I'm sorry for my poor Japanese," would be a highlight, but I was still glued to Eddie. Even if that's not the case, this film is shot with him at the center, and even when the viewpoint shifts to Dave in the center of the stage (due to position), Eddie is on the other side. Of course, during each song's solo, Takumi's hands are featured on the screen. It is a superb video that will pierce your heart with every move. This is Eddie Van Halen's last live performance in Japan. This is a video work that allows us to experience a memorable show from the ultimate view seat. It's a miraculous piece of art that allows us to have Japan's last brave image all to ourselves, and it's one of the most necessary pieces for us today.
