In 2012, VAN HALEN released "A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH" and achieved a complete revival in a different dimension than a nostalgia reunion. A video work that allows you to fully experience the full show from special seats is now available. This work was filmed at the “Tulsa performance on May 1, 2012.” This is the spectacular audience shot. Speaking of “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH TOUR,” we have previously introduced masterpiece videos such as “A BEST LIVE OF TRUTH INDIANAPOLIS 2012,” “A BEST KIND OF PHILADELPHIA,” and “BOSTON 2012.” This work is a sequel to that one, and the show's position is slightly different. In order to explain the meaning of this, let's first look back at the schedule at that time. 2012・January 5th - February 8th: Warm-up (3 performances) [“A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH” released on February 7th]・February 18th – April 1st: North America #1 (19 performances) )・April 10th-June 26th: North America #2 (31 performances)←★Here★ 2013・April 20th: Sydney Performance・June 18th-26th: Japan (4 performances)・July 20th + 24th: North America #3 (2 performances) This is a panoramic view of “A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH TOUR”. The three videos mentioned above were all records of the very early stage of the tour, “North America #1,” but after that, the second part of the North American tour started after about a week off. The Tulsa performance of this work is the 10th performance of the reorganized "North America #2". At that time, their new album became a hit, reaching number 2 in the United States, and they were entering a period where they were enjoying the wind of success with all their might. This work recorded at such a show is truly a spectacular view. After all, you can't see the audience at all, and you can't see their detailed positions. From the angle, it is clear that the seats are in the stands on the left side of the stage (Wolfgang's side), but beyond that, nothing is known. Whether it was because I was at the very front of the stand, or because I was sitting in the back and it was on a steep slope, the view of the stage was completely unobstructed. Even more surprising is the image quality. Although the video was taken eight years ago, the image quality is like the latest shooting in 2020. It must be quite a zoom to get a close-up view of each person, but the image quality is extremely beautiful, with no blurring and even the smallest details. When this footage was first unearthed, people even wondered, ``Did the one-camera footage of the professional shot for broadcast be leaked?'' (though it's unlikely because of the angle of the stands), and it's no wonder they thought so. It's super beautiful image quality. Furthermore, what sets the audience apart is the sound. This is already the best. It is a clear and dynamic type that can be used as a live album with just the audio, and if the very thick core is strong, the details are clear. Every single note of every instrument is clear, but the bass is especially unique. The attack sound has a nice crunch, and the lines are crisp with no blur or muddiness. It goes without saying that the guitar, bass, and drums are clear, but it's amazing that even the bass is so clear. What is depicted in such hyper quality is a full show that can be called a sample of 2012. Let's organize the contents of the set here.・Flame Fuse: Runnin' With The Devil/You Really Got Me/Ice Cream Man/Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love ・Legendary Bomber: Somebody Get Me A Doctor/Dance The Night Away/Women In Love/Beautiful Girls・Dark Law: Romeo Delight (★)/Everybody Wants Some!!・Martial Law: Unchained/Hear About It Later (★)・Diver Down: (Oh) Pretty Woman・1984: I'll Wait/Hot For Teacher /Girl Gone Bad (★) / Panama / Jump A Different Kind of Truth: She's The Woman / Tattoo / China Town / The Trouble With Never (★) *: “★” indicates “A DIFFERENT KIND” OF TRUTH TOUR” daily song. ...and it looks like this. There are four songs that change daily, and the balance is similar to other performances, but the selection is strong. There was a time when the set was being finalized after much trial and error, but they have mostly eliminated rare songs and have a full lineup of quasi-standard songs that have been played many times. To be honest, the fun of experiencing rare songs is lacking, but such a rich assortment is itself rare. Although it lacks the ``surprise'' of multi-cameras and the front row seats, it is unparalleled in the real thrill of enjoying the show from a special seat. A masterpiece video with high quality in image quality, sound quality, and camera work. Live at BOK Center, Tulsa, OK, USA 1st May 2012 AMAZING-SHOT!!!! Live at BOK Center, Tulsa, OK.
