Van Halen / MS,USA 7.24.1982 Soundboard Edition

This set features a soundboard recording of the July 24th Biloxi, Mississippi performance from the massive "HIDE YOUR SLEEP" North American tour, following the release of the smash hit "DIVER DOWN" in April 1982. Like the recent Worcester, Massachusetts, and Toronto, Canada performances, this recording is from a PA console leaked by a source at the time. While some cuts are present, the sound remains excellent for a direct-to-disc line source, and it's surprising that it never saw the light of day before. The set also includes nine tracks from the album, including "Oh! Pretty Women." While "Hang 'Em High" was performed twice during the reunion era, tracks like "Where Have All Those Good Times Gone!" were exclusive to this tour, and the solos from each member are also worth listening to. The set list for this tour was fixed, as it had been for previous shows, but on this day they performed Edgar Winter's "Keep Playin' That Rock'n'Roll," the only time they performed this song on this tour, and it's an extremely rare cover that has only been played about five times live in their history. This rare collector's edition also includes Eddie's incredible solo at the end of the set, so be sure to listen.
