The shockwave that shocked the world is back! A completely unreleased soundboard from the "DIVER DOWN" era has been newly unearthed! Two titles will be released simultaneously on 2CDs of the original master sound! This work is the first part of such a two-part release. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Biloxi performance on July 24, 1982." Speaking of newly unearthed soundboards from the "DIVER DOWN" era, the triptych "WORCESTER 1982 1ST NIGHT SOUNDBOARD," "3RD NIGHT SOUNDBOARD," and "TORONTO 1982 SOUNDBOARD" are still fresh in our memories, but this two-part series should be considered a sequel to those. However, there are fundamental differences from the previous three works. To explain this, let's first take a bird's-eye view of the activities at the time. 1982 ("DIVER DOWN" released April 14th) July 14th - August 21st: North America #1 (26 performances) ←★COCO★ September 1st - 25th: North America #2 (17 performances) October 7th - December 11th: North America #3 (38 performances) ←TORONTO 1982, etc. 1983 January 16th - February 12th: South America (15 performances) ←※CARACAS 1983, etc. May 29th: US Festival Appearance This is VAN HLAEN from the "DIVER DOWN" era. It has long been known as a period of professional shot production, but it was the 1983 "South America" and US festivals, and the aforementioned soundboard trilogy was "North America #3." This two-part series was the earlier "North America #1" than any of them. Let's further focus on the dates and check their relative positions. Details of "North America #1": July 14th-23rd (7 performances) * July 24th: Biloxi performance ←★This work★ * July 27th-30th (3 performances) * July 31st "FORT WAYNE 1982" * August 3rd-21st (14 performances) ... and so on. This work was the 8th performance, one of the earliest of numerous pro shots/soundboards. This vacuum-packed show is a leaked soundboard excavated along the same route as the previous trilogy and "FORT WAYNE 1982." The quality is very similar, with an incredible direct feel from the mix desk, and the freshness of the digitalization from the original master is also intense. Anyone who has experienced even one of the previous trilogy will understand. However! While the sound is very similar to other works, this work stands out in terms of its special feel. The key is the set list. The tour had just begun on this day, and the set is different from the other works. Moreover, even some of the rarer songs are being shown. Here, let's check the set in comparison with "TORONTO 1982 SOUNDBOARD", the longest of the "North America # 3" soundboard trilogy. Diver Down (7 songs), Where Have All The Good Times Gone!, Hang 'Em High, Little Guitars, Cathedral, Secrets, Intruder, (Oh) Pretty Woman, and others (12 songs). The Fuse: Runnin' With The Devil, Jamie's Cryin', Ice Cream Man (★), Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, You Really Got Me (incl. Happy Trails). Legendary Bomber: Dance The Night Away, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Bottoms Up!, and others: Romeo Delight, Unchained, Everybody Wants Some!!, Keep Playin' That Rock N Roll (★★). *Note: Songs marked with a "★" are not available on the sister album "TORONTO 1982: SOUNDBOARD." In particular, songs marked with a "★★" are not available on the sister album "FORT WAYNE 1982: SOUNDBOARD." Although some songs were cut from the recording, the approximately 94-minute recording captures almost the entire show. The most captivating track is "Keep Playin' That Rock N' Roll." This Edgar Winter's White Trash track is not just a quick play, but a solid cover of over three minutes. This song has only been performed a handful of times in Van Halen's history, and most of those were before their debut. This extremely rare track was also performed during the "Diver Down" era. This album allows you to experience that live performance on an extra-thick soundboard. Furthermore, the track order is quite different from other soundboard releases. Numbers like "Dance the Night Away," "Where Have All the Good Times Gone!," and "Hang 'Em High" are placed early on, creating a distinctly different impression from the subsequent "HIDE YOUR SHEEP Tour." This album is by far the most eye-catching of the impactful soundboard series, standing out for its rarity and unique feel. Those who have experienced the previous trilogy will have already made up their minds, and this is a masterpiece that I would highly recommend to those who are discovering the new excavation series for the first time. This is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Biloxi Performance on July 24, 1982." This newly excavated soundboard, taken from a show that didn't even have an audience, was digitized directly from the original master recorded by the people involved. The top-notch direct-to-mix-table sound is overwhelmingly vivid and powerful. This is an absolute soundboard that will even pour into your brain the extremely rare cover of EDGAR WINTER'S WHITE TRASH's "Keep Playin' That Rock N Roll."
