VAN HALEN in 1986 won glory with the masterpiece "5150" with Sammy Hagar. A live set that recorded the big three consecutive performances in its entirety is now available. This work includes "August 11, 12, and 14, 1986 Worcester performances". There were four consecutive shows at "Worcester Centrum", and this work is a six-disc set that fully recorded the first three shows. First of all, as always, let's imagine the position of the show from the overall picture of the tour. ・March 27th - May 31st: North America #1 (47 performances) ・June 28th - September 1st: North America #2 (40 performances) ←★Here★ ・September 5th: MTV VIDEO AWARDS ・September 27th - November 3rd: North America #3 (24 performances) A total of 112 performances. "5150 TOUR" was not a so-called world tour, but was limited to two countries, the United States and Canada. The Worcester performance in this work corresponds to the 27th-29th performance of "North America # 2". Also, speaking of the symbol of "5150 TOUR", there is the official video work "LIVE WITHOUT A NET", but it was also in the position about two weeks before that. This work, which contains such three Worcester performances, is a recording of three different audiences. It is not the work of the same recorder, but each has a different personality. What kind of personality each one has ... [Disc 1-2: August 11th (first day)] The first to appear is a sudden masterpiece. It is a superb recording recently released by the prestigious "KRW_CO", and it is a masterpiece that was made into a CD directly from the original analog master. The sound is extremely thick and beautiful. Although it is an audience recording that absorbs the enthusiasm in a realistic way, the musical tone that even overpowers it is very robust, and the sound without distortion or turbidity is beautiful. Although the venue acoustics are slightly engraved, the atmosphere is transparent, and the catchy melody shines, but the details are not hidden. It is as easy to listen to as a sound board, but the on-site feeling is overwhelmingly higher. It is truly an honor student of audience recording. [Disc 3-4: August 12th (2nd day)] The second day is the master who gives one step in this work. Although the detailed recording position is not transmitted, there is a slight distance and the fine details are not reached. However, that is because the other two types are too wonderful, and it remains a recording above normal. It is not a kind of explosion or roar (never!), and there is no noise like noise. Although there is a distance, the musical tones and singing voices that reach through the atmosphere shine. The taste of such a recording is a real document sense. VAN HALEN changed the face of the band from Diamond Dave to Red Rocker and changed the musicality significantly. It was more like DLR BAND had taken over the old route, but despite such a big transformation, it caused a ferocious welcome and great enthusiasm. This recording makes the tremendous popularity feel super real. As mentioned above, it is a live album that allows you to feel the temperature of the "5150 TOUR" site, which was not experienced in Japan, with a sense of touch. [Disc 5-6: August 14th (3rd day)] The last day, the 3rd day, is a high-quality recording that approaches the first day (Disc 1-2). Although it is not a particularly prestigious excavation, the ultimate gene that was digitized directly from the original master cassette is extremely fresh. What is best of all is the extremely on guitar and vocals. The first day is the winner in terms of the neatness of the sound, but this one has a more powerful and direct feeling like a line recording. Eddie's guitar roars nearby, and you can feel Sammy's youthful singing voice close to your ears. Furthermore, the chorus is wonderful, and the three-voice harmony of Sammy / Michael / Eddie is reproduced in your mind. Since audience recordings have a large difference in taste, it is a great recording that would not be surprising if it was preferred over the first day of the prestigious excavation. The show depicted in these three different qualities is exactly 100% real and extended version of "LIVE WITHOUT A NET". Even one performance is much longer than the official video, which was an excerpt version, and you can enjoy the opening scene of "You Really Got Me", which was not officially heard, the killer "Dreams", and the rare song "Good Enough" that was only on this tour. What's more, the fun part is the daily time because it is a three-performance set. On this tour, they played a different song every day at the beginning of the encore, but on the first day they performed "Make It Last" from Sammy's old home MONTROSE, on the second day they performed a blues jam, and on the third day they performed Chip Taylor's rare cover "Wild Thing". Even on the second day's blues jam, you can hear a very passionate solo, and every performance is a delicious corner where you can feel the mood of "only on this day". The "5150 TOUR" was a show that was not possible in Japan, even in the Sammy era, despite its heyday. A gorgeous show with a roaring performance that aims to prove the ability of the new era, and a rush of famous songs from that great album. It's a big set that allows you to enjoy it in its entirety for three performances. The Centrum, Worcester, MA. USA 11th, 12th & 14th August 1986 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND 01. Intro 02.
