A super-powerful soundboard representing the era. The upgrade of that classic and historical masterpiece has been realized. Before introducing the quality of the shock, let's start with the basics. Let's check the position of the show from the overall picture of the debut tour that shook the whole earth.・January 27th + February 8th: Warm-up《February 10th "Flame Fuse" Release》・February 18th-April 28th: North America #1 (46 performances)・May 4th-12th: Europe #1 (7 performances)・May 16th-June 10th: UK (20 performances)←★Here★・June 17th-28th: Japan (9 performances)・July 1st-September 30th: North America #2 (54 performances)・October 9th-27th: Europe #2 (13 performances)・November 3rd-December 3rd: North America #3 (24 performances)《December 11th "Legendary Bomber" production begins》This is the 1978 world tour that made the VH revolution known to the whole world. The records at that time are vague in some places, so the number of performances etc. are not strict, but I think you can understand the general flow. This tour also saw the legendary first visit to Japan, but the London performance of this work was just before that. It was the 14th concert of the "UK" tour. This UK tour was a European tour linked to "Europe #1", and was also VAN HALEN's first overseas tour. As mentioned above, this show is also famous for the fact that the sound board was left behind. It has become a rock textbook, even though it is not official, because you can experience the fierce live performance immediately after the debut with a sound directly connected to the brain. This work is an upgrade version of such a legendary sound board. It is a new master that was obtained independently. The sound quality is truly shocking! The last "Bottoms Up!" ends halfway through, which is the same as the previous release, but the sound is completely different. It was originally an official-class sound board, but this work has an accurate pitch that was about 1/4 tone out, but even that seems insignificant to the upgrade. The generation is clearly young, the sound is fresh, the response is glossy, and the edges are sharp. There is no sense of mass in the midrange that was already released, the whole range is well balanced, and it seems to come out smoothly. Above all, it is a super powerful sound that is different from the density of the sound. The power of this new master has repainted everything. Michael Anthony's bass, which shakes the five viscera, is not only powerful but also delicate in vibe, and Diamond Dave's shout that stretches out endlessly is also super clear. Alex Van Halen's drumming, which comes out with a scon!, is also vivid in each hit. However, what is even more amazing is the essential revolutionary guitar! "Flaming Fuse" was revolutionary not only for Eddie's playing style and phrases but also for his intense and unparalleled guitar sound, and this work is exactly that stage version. It is much better than the previous one and the details are delicate. And yet the original sound that drives the power tube hits the brain directly. The show drawn with that sound is also amazing, too amazing. It was shorter than their first visit to Japan because it was the opening act for BLACK SABBATH's 10th anniversary tour, but it was that much more intense. All songs from "Flame of Fire" were played except for "Jamie's Cryin" and "Ice Cream Man", with solo time interspersed between them. And at the end, they played "D.O.A." and "Bottoms Up!" from "Legendary Bomber". Looking back, it seems like a forced effort to end with a new song, but what's the big deal?! It was a fierce performance. And above all, the rock feeling of hitting the UK for the first time was too spectacular. The audience's enthusiasm was quite far away because of the sound board, but you can clearly see that they were unusually excited even at that tiny volume. It's been talked about that they ate up the headliner BLACK SABBATH on this tour, but no one can compete with this show, no matter who the headliner is. There's no way. It's a live album that is packed with the energy that only revolutionaries can release. It's the real version of "Flame of Fire". The legendary soundboard has reached the level of a historic debut work thanks to the upgrade master. There is no point in saying four or five about this level of super masterpiece. It is not easy to say "must-listen must-have for fans". A cultural heritage of music history, a live album that symbolizes rock itself. The moment of its birth.
