The miraculous “SUMMER TOUR 2004” was a reunion with Sammy Hagar, who had previously left the band. The multi-camera video that is the masterpiece is now available. This work was filmed at the “Atlanta performance on September 17, 2004.” This is the audience shot. Even though I say "audience", this work is different from the stolen shots you see everywhere. It is a video work that was carefully mixed together with footage from multiple audience cameras by overseas core enthusiasts (there are also shots outside the venue that convey the atmosphere). Before quality, first of all is the position of the show. First, let's look back at the outline of the reunion project with Sammy.・June 11th - July 20th: North America #1a (23 performances) [“THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS” released on July 20th] ・July 22nd – August 20th: North America #1b (20 performances)・September 3rd - October 2nd: North America #2 (17 performances) ←★Here★ ・October 19th - November 19th: North America #3 (17 performances) This is VAN HALEN in 2004. After Gary Cherone left the group in 1999, Sammy made a sudden comeback after a five-year hiatus. The best album "THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" was released, and a reunion tour was realized only in North America. The tour can be roughly divided into three sections with about two weeks off, and the Atlanta performance of this work was the seventh concert of the middle stage “North America #2”. The quality of this work that contains such a show is truly amazing. As mentioned earlier, it is a multi-camera edit, but the main bird's-eye view angle from the top left is of such high quality that even modern digital footage can be seen barefoot. Although it was shot 16 years ago, the image quality is extremely clear, from the wrinkles on Sammy's shirt to Eddie Van Halen's strings. Speaking of their youthfulness, they are running around a stage set shaped like the band logo! That one shot alone is the highest quality audience footage, but it's a luxury that allows you to switch angles depending on the highlight. The image quality of the front shot of the other camera is not that good, but if you consider the standards of 10 years ago, it is more than adequate. Of course, since the angles are mixed precisely, the audio is also perfect. This also makes full use of two types of audio masters and conveys the valuable show with a direct feeling like a sound board. The reunion tour with Sammy did not leave a single professional shot, let alone an official work, but this work is a masterpiece and a masterpiece that perfectly fulfills such a “pro shot replacement”. The show is not inferior to such hyper quality, and is an all-time greatest hits like no other. Since this is a good opportunity, let's organize the set of the one and only Sammy reunion tour. Dave Lee Roth Era (6 songs)・Flame Fuse: Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love/You Really Got Me・Legendary Bomber: Somebody Get Me A Doctor (★)・Martial Law: Unchained (★)・1984: Jump/Panama Sammy Hagar era (12 songs) ・5150: Why Can't This Be Love/Best Of Both Worlds/Dreams ・OU8122: When It's Love ・F@U#C%K: Runaround/Poundcake/ Top Of The World/ Right Now・Balance: The Seventh Seal・Greatest Hits: Humans Being (★)・Very Best of Van Halen: Up For Breakfast (★★)/It's About Time (★★) Sammy's solo (2 songs) Eagles Fly/Tropic Of Capricorn (★) *Note: Songs marked with a ★ were performed for the first time by Sammy & VAN HALEN. Songs marked with “★★” are exclusive to this tour. ...and it looks like this. The set based on the best album ``THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS'' was so gorgeous that it would be unimaginable on a normal tour. For example, the classics from Dave's era. For Sammy, it may have been just fan service, but up until now he had only carefully selected 3-4 songs to perform, but here he performed 6 songs. Sammy's version of "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" and "Unchained" is a great achievement. On the other hand, don't miss the new songs. You can also listen to "Humans Being", which was sung by only Gary at the live show, on the original Sammy, and since he will be reuniting with Dave, he will be releasing new songs from the best album, "Up For Breakfast" and "It's About Time." ” is truly a rare song exclusive to this tour. Also, although it is not a rare song, the distribution of Sammy era numbers is also interesting. At first glance, it seems that representative songs are evenly selected from the four albums, but in terms of balance, there is a bias towards ``5150'' and ``F@U#C%K'', with the latter being particularly generous with 4 songs. “F@U#C%K” may have been the most important song for these four. And the sight of the four of them weaving together such a luxurious set is eye-opening. As is often said, Eddie is not in the best condition, but there is no doubt that these four were an outstanding unit in the rock world. The combination with Sammy doesn't feel like it's been a long time, and during the drum solo, Sammy high-fives Alex Van Halen and hugs his shoulders. Of course, Sammy, who was 56 years old at the time, was in great shape. He is a person who always shows his age, and here his singing voice is unmistakable. Although husky, the vocalization stretches wonderfully throughout, making you sigh. And speaking of "voice", it's Michael Anthony. This was the last tour for him, but the unfading high note is truly wonderful. The harmony of “Best Of Both Worlds” where the two singers’ voices and the audience’s chorus mix together… it’s truly exquisite. A gorgeous live show that can be called the "best album to see" in the Sammy & Michael era. This is a gem of a gem that was mixed by a maniac with all his heart from a number of audience records. In order not to diminish the charm of this masterpiece in the slightest, we have compiled it into a 2-disc DVDR set. This was the last tour for American hard rock legends Sammy Hagar and Eddie Van Halen. This is one of his best masterpieces.
