From the 1998 Japan tour, the third generation of Van Halen, which welcomed ex-Extreme's Gary Cherone as the new lead vocalist, the tour will be held at Fukuoka International on October 21st, the second day of the tour following the Hiroshima performance. Complete recording of the center performance with high quality audience recording. Introducing a must-have edition for fans that directly uses the original DAT master, which was given to us by the recorder and has never been distributed among traders. In 1998, the Japan tour accompanying "VAN HALEN?" for the first time in three years was held on a large scale, with a total of 9 performances, including 3 days at Budokan, and most of them, including the Iwate performance on October 26th, have now been made into audio discs. However, this Kyushu performance is the first appearance. The set consisted of new songs from "VAN HALEN?", familiar songs representing the band from Dave's era, and hit songs from Sammy's era such as When It's Love, Why Can't This Be Love, Dreams, and Right Now. Full of listening spots. The set was almost the same for all performances, with Unchained opening the show. In the second new song, Without You, you can hear an arrangement of the Beatles' We Can Work It Out sung a cappella at the ending. In the fourth song, Mean Street, the performance is temporarily stopped and Gary exclaims, “Good evening, Fukuoka!” After the sixth song, Fire In The Hole, Gary introduced "Michael!" Immediately after, as if someone had taught them, everyone, led by Michael, performed a chorus of "Ba-Ba-Ba-Van-Halen!" In front of the stunned audience, all the members sang "Ba Bamba Van Halen!" again, playing on the melody of the drift. Although there are a few parts where the sound is distorted due to the cheers of those around you, overall it is recorded in a stable and high quality that is easy to listen to, allowing you to enjoy the entire show without stress. Although he doesn't have as much power and personality as his predecessor, Gary's vocals have no problems at all, and he sings Van Halen classics without difficulty. The highlight is the new song Year To The Day, where the charm of Gary's singing matches the dramatic style of the song, allowing you to enjoy a powerful performance. Eddie's long solo on this song is also worth listening to. Eddie's solo time of nearly 10 minutes, which is performed as if inserted into the song, is a masterpiece and is a must-listen for all fans. Following Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love to close the main set, the encore was Panama's nearly 10 minute performance from their new song Dirty Water Dog. (After the show, the members were saying, “Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba!” again, as if they liked it so much. The audience was also chanting, “Ba-Ba Ba Van Halen!”) Gary said, ``I want to hear one more song. Starting with a series of shouts of ``Ka'', Jump concludes the approximately 2-hour dramatic show in a colorful and festive mood. You can enjoy the great feeling of excitement as the audience sings “Jump!” and shouts “Fukuoka!” during the song. In terms of sound quality, it feels like average plus plus, but fans will not want to miss the complete first appearance sound source with sufficient quality. Already 13 years have passed, and now, from Van Halen's last Japan tour, a must-listen sound source has appeared. Live at Fukuoka Kokusai Center, Fukuoka, Japan 21st October 1998 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 1. Intro. 2. Unchained 3. Without You 4. One I Want 5. Mean Street 6.
