The shocking stereo soundboard sound source from the 1970s is now available. This work includes the "Tucson performance on October 2, 1979". It is a part of the "WORLD VACATION TOUR 1979" accompanying the "Legendary Bomber". The biggest point of this work is the tremendous quality, but above all, the position of the show. First of all, let's imagine it from the whole world tour picture. {March 23rd: "Legendary Bomber" released} March 25th-June 10th: North America #1 (51 performances) June 14th-29th: Europe (12 performances) July 5th-August 26th: North America #2 (31 performances) September 3rd-13th: Japan (7 performances) September 18th-October 7th: North America #3 (12 performances) ←★Here★ {December: "Dark Rule" production begins} The more VAN HALEN tours, the more they become biased towards North America, but in this era, they still tour Europe and Japan. It was a literal "world tour." In the midst of all this, the Tucson performance of this work is "North America #3," which returned to the home country after touring the world. It was the 9th concert, the final show of the tour. This work, which contains such a show, is a superb soundboard that has appeared in recent years. The shock soundboard "WICHITA 1978" released immediately after the debut will be released at the same time, but this work was also excavated by the same route. Perhaps because of that, the quality is similar, and the direct connection to the table, which is different from the beautifully maintained broadcast sound source, is amazing. The Tucson Convention Center, where the event took place, is a hall class that can accommodate 2,300 people, but it is impossible to tell how large it is. The cheers feel far away, and the sounds and vocals of the four people are poured directly into your ears. It is a sense of closeness and synchronization that you cannot understand even if it is said to be a small club or rehearsal studio. Such a fierce soundboard is what is making enthusiasts all over the world excited, but this work is even more meticulously mastered. Although the original sound was superbly direct, all the instruments were somewhat flat. In this work, the sound is organized by each range. It is finished so that each sound of each instrument can be felt three-dimensionally. If you compare this to a painting, the original sound is a flat watercolor, while this work is an oil painting. Even the unevenness of the paint is realistic, and the shadows that arise from it have a sense of presence and response. In terms of audio, the sound quality is high, but more than that, the feeling that "VAN HALEN is there" is overwhelming. Of course, all of these are the original flavors of the sound board sound source, and they were not made by force. The beauty that was difficult to feel in the original sound was vividly brought out. The show depicted by that sound is also the best. The best thing about it is the length. Recently, the sound board of the debut tour has become very popular at our shop, but they are a single CD at the opening performance. In contrast, this work is a full-scale show that exceeds 95 minutes. Of course, it would be meaningless if it were diluted, but there is no need to worry about that with VAN HALEN in 1979. The set, which is almost half selected from the two great masterpieces "Flame Fuse" and "Legendary Bomber", is rich and rich in variety. A number of historic ironclad songs are performed, including "Atomic Punk", "Light Up The Sky" and "Outta Love Again", which are masterpieces that exude the early mood of the first VAN HALEN. More than that, "You're No Good" and "Outta Love Again" are full of the scent of "1979"! Although "Outta Love Again" has been performed several times in 2012, these two songs are basically only in the repertoire of this tour. You can enjoy it on the official barefoot superb sound board. It's a set that has become rich in variety without straying from the main road, but VAN HALEN who plays it is also amazing. The overwhelming concentration is not as strong as the debut tour, but the performance has definitely scaled up. If the beat is bold and open, David Lee Roth's singing mouth is terribly open, and Eddie's phrases are also full of a sense of openness. The experience of touring the world in 1978 is certainly alive, and the imposing presence already exudes a world-class feeling. I wrote earlier that "I don't know if it's a rehearsal studio," but that is only about the sound, and the performance and singing are definitely the dynamism of a live concert, and it is such a big spectacle that you would believe it if it was called an "arena or stadium show." "WORLD VACATION TOUR 1979" has increased variety and scale while retaining the fierce heat rock. This is an exquisite soundboard album that twists the final tour that defined the early VH show into your brain. An unprecedented one that allows you to immerse yourself in a full show of more than an hour and a half. Live at Tucson Community Center, Tucson, Arizona, USA 2nd October 1979 STEREO SBD!!!
