From the spring tour after the release of the new work "Trisector", which is the first work in a trio formation, the London performance on April 3rd is recorded in complete using the original master. You can enjoy a lot of attractive performances with an ideal sound quality with an edge. This spring tour continued from 2007 when they started with their first trio (the Lifetime ensemble was impressive), and although the number of performances was small, with 7 performances, including Manchester performance on March 27th, Livorno performance on the 29th, Amsterdam performance on the 31st, Wolverhampton performance on April 2nd, London performance on the 3rd, Gouveia Festival in Portugal on the 6th, and Moscow performance on the 20th, all of them were very well received, and the best live performances were held without any sense of anxiety unique to a trio (such as lack of sound pressure)! "TRISECTOR" also has a composition centered on short songs that have never been seen before, and it conveys the band's enthusiasm to aim for further progress. The set list was very varied, featuring five new songs from the album: Interference Patterns (which opened at five shows), Lifetime, All that Before, Over the Hill, and (We Are) Not Here; Nutter Alert from the previous album "PRESENT" (picked up at four shows); and songs from the 70s ("Pawn Hearts" to "World Record"): Scorched Earth, Lemmings, Man Erg, Meurglys III, and The Childlike Faith in the Childhood's End. The encores were also different, with Nutter Alert (Manchester and Wolverhampton shows), The Childlike Faith in the Childhood's End (Italy and London shows), and Still Life (Amsterdam and Portugal shows), so we can look forward to the three Japan shows. The thrilling opening where the organ and drums are synchronized, the masterpiece Scorched Earth with its wild ensemble using odd time signatures, Lemmings with its wonderful taut and dense improvisation, Childlike Faith in Childhood's End with Hammill's vocals that gradually rise dramatically with the accompaniment, All That Before, which is the most VDGG-like song, effectively uses hard and simple riffs, and other songs will leave you overwhelmed by the high-tension and fulfilling ensemble! This is truly the ultimate item that luxuriously packages the finest sound of VDGG. Enjoy the one and only avant-garde and wild psychedelic rock!
