In 2005, VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR was excited about their miraculous reunion. Introducing a live set that allows you to experience the scene at its finest. This work contains two UK live performances. This is a 3-disc set with the finest audience recording of the "Leicester performance on July 9, 2005" on DISC 1-2, and the spectacular audience shot of the "London performance on July 8, 2005" on DISC 3. Speaking of 2005, there are two official works “REAL TIME” and “LEVERKUSEN 2005”, but of course this work is a different show. In order to get an idea of the circumstances surrounding that, let's first look back at the schedule at the time. [“PRESENT” released on April 25th] ・May 6th: London performance ← *Official “REAL TIME” ・June 11th-14th: Italy (3 performances) ・July 8th-July 23rd: Europe #1 (8 performances) ←★Here★・October 25th - November 19th: Europe #2 (7 performances) ←※Official "LEVERKUSEN 2005" This is the progress of 2005 when they reunited. They are still active, but David Jackson left as early as the following year in 2006. Since there is no live performance in 2006, the above is the entire reunion performance by the golden four. Among them, the official work "REAL TIME" premiered in May, and "LEVERKUSEN 2005" was the record of "Europe #2" in the final stage. The two performances of this work were concerts on the first and second days of “Europe #1”, which is different from either of them. Now, let's introduce each one individually. [DISC 1-2: The best live album of the Leicester performance on July 9, 2005] First up is the full live album of the Leicester performance, which is the core of this work. At our store, this is an original master by a master who is well known as the "British Master", and this person's uniqueness is that he is able to balance a realistic atmosphere with a modern clarity. This work is a masterpiece that serves as a good example of this, and although the subtle hall sound is beautiful, the core that runs through the middle is powerful. Peter Hamill's heartfelt vocals sound majestic, and you can clearly hear every word of the lyrics. Although it is different from the direct feeling of a sound board, it is a famous recording that allows you to immerse your whole body in its subtleties and mood. What is depicted with such sound is a full show that can be called the real experience of "REAL TIME". Although the set is very similar to "REAL TIME", it is not the same. Let's compare and organize them here. Common to both performances ・Creation: Lemmings・Pawn Hearts: Man-Erg・God Bluff: The Undercover Man/Scorched Earth/The Sleepwalkers ・Still Life: Childlike Faith in Childhood's End ・Present: Every Bloody Emperor/Nutter Alert Lester 2CD only・Chameleon in the Shadow of the Night: (In The) Black Room ・Still Life: Still Life (★) ・World Record: When She Comes (★) / Masks [DISC 3: 2005 Spectacular full shot of July 8th London performance] Following such a full live album is a full video of the London performance the day before. It's an audience shot at the famous venue "Shepherd Bush Empire", but it's such a spectacular view that you'll think it's a one-camera professional shot. The photo was taken from the back of the first floor seats on the left side, but it was obvious that a tripod was being used to directly capture the stage over the heads of the audience. The field of view with zero obstructions and the stability with which he confidently uses a tripod are completely different from the average audience shot. Although I don't know the facts, the quality itself seems to be that of an insider shot. On the contrary, it's a breathtaking view from another dimension that makes you feel like you're looking at a giant screen shot that fills the stage. What is depicted in such a spectacular view is a full show that is different from “REAL TIME” and the Leicester performance of DISC 1-2. Please refer to the above for songs that are common to both performances, but here we will summarize only the songs that could not be heard at the Leicester performance. London DVD only・Mental exchange: Darkness (11/11)/Refugees・Creation: Killer・Pawn Hearts: Theme One (★)・Still Life: La Rossa (★) *Note: “★” mark indicates “REAL” Songs that cannot be heard on “TIME”. VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, the heroes of the British Empire, reunited after 30 years. Although he has been active intermittently since then, Jackson soon left the group and has now been away from the stage for five years. It was in 2005 that their reorganization was truly a miracle, and the show was a rare one with less than 20 performances. A live set that allows you to experience such a scene at its best. This is a 3-disc set with the finest audience recording of the "July 9, 2005 Leicester performance" on DISC 1-2, and the spectacular audience shot of the "July 8 London performance" the day before on DISC 3. The full recording of the main Leicester performance is an original master by a master who is well known as the "British Master", and although the faint sound of the hall is beautiful, the core that runs through the middle is a powerful masterpiece recording. The full footage from London the day before was so spectacular that you'd think it was a one-camera professional shot, and a tripod was used to provide stability, capturing the stage directly over the heads of the audience. This is a valuable set that allows you to experience the ultimate reunion scene that took place over 30 years.
