The latest stereo soundboard album from British hard rock heavyweight URIAH HEEP is here. This work includes the "November 14, 2017 Haifa performance." Currently, Israel is attracting worldwide attention due to the issue of Jerusalem being recognized as the capital of Israel, but Haifa is a coastal city about an hour and a half by car from Jerusalem. First, let's check their current live schedule to find out what they're up to. [2017] ・April 21-24: Ukraine (3 performances) ・June 25-September 2: Europe #1 (18 performances) ・November 10-17: Middle East/Europe #2 (5 performances) ←★Here★ [2018] ・January 27: UK (1 performance) ・February 6-March 15: North America (23 performances) This is the outline of their activities for 2017-2018 that have been announced so far. They toured Europe until the beginning of autumn, and also held a mini tour in November. Here, they toured the intermediate regions of Asia and Europe, such as the United Arab Emirates, Romania, and Israel. The performance in Haifa in this work is the third performance. In fact, URIAH HEEP is popular in the former communist countries and West Asia, and follower bands such as IVERIA in Georgia have been familiar with them for a long time. They also regularly visit Israel on tour, and this year they are broadcast on local FM stations. This work is an FM album that contains the broadcast. The quality is a wonderful soundboard. The mix is a little rough to be called "official class" as is the case with Israeli broadcasting, but that is why the vividness is also vivid. The extremely thick and vivid performance sound gives you a sense of closeness that can only be achieved with line recording. Such a sound depicts the HEEP sound, which has been in existence for 48 years. The Hammond organ, led by a Hebrew DJ, is already timeless. There is no trace of darkness or decline in the fantastic and fantastic sound world, and the best of British hard rock flows out of the speakers. Moreover, the set is a big succession of golden masterpieces. The 90's "Between Two Worlds" and the latest original work "OUTSIDER" "The Law" and "One Minute" exude the dignity of new standards, but the remaining nine songs are all from the 70's. It's the mood of the re-recorded masterpiece "TOTALLY DRIVEN", but they also show off "Shadows Of Grief" and "The Magician's Birthday" which were not even featured there. The performance of the set is also the best. Mick Box shows no signs of aging, and in "The Magician's Birthday" he plays a tremendous solo over and over again. He has turned 70 years old, but this is not the solo of someone who has lived for 70 years. Bernie Shaw is 61 years old, but his powerful and manly singing voice sounds like he's in his 20s. Phil Lanzon, 67 years old, is also very active on the Hammond, piano, and synth, so is there no age limit for these people? Moreover, they are not just youthful, but also mature. The three of them have been together for over 30 years, and most of the band's history has been centered around this trio, so they know the songs better than the originators. The improvisation that is hotly and passionately refined with the three of them as the axis is the very charm of British hard rock. The rhythm section that supports such a high-quality work, Russell Gilbrook and Davey Rimmer, are also wonderful. They are youthful and powerful, yet dynamically produce the ever-changing HEEP songs. In particular, Gilbrook is such a talented person that he was rumored to be "just like Cozy" when he visited Japan in 2016. His sensitivity and diverse singing sense, which are different from that of a mere power hitter, raise the drama of HEEP. It is only because of their beats that the three core members can remain youthful. Not to mention LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH has gone to eternal sleep, and even DEEP PURPLE is said to be "the last tour?" in 2017. Even in such times, URIAH HEEP still plays the essence of British hard rock. This is a masterpiece soundboard album that vividly depicts their latest live performance, which has already become a "living witness" and "storyteller".
