The 70's UFO that gave birth to and raised God. The official out-of-print video focusing on that golden era has been decided to be released. The out-of-print video is “HISTORY OF UFO with MICHAEL SCHENKER.” This is the official history video produced in 1992. At that time, UFO had reunited with Lawrence Archer and released a new album, ``HIGH STAKES & DANGEROUS MEN''. This work was produced at a time when it was suddenly gaining attention, but as was the fate of music videos at the time, it quickly went out of print. In the 21st century, a DVD with the same title as the UK version of the video ``TOO HOT TO HANDLE (1969-1983)'' was also released, but the content was significantly changed. On the other hand, this work is a straight reprint DVD from the Japanese version laser disc released at the time. It is a history piece with a length of approximately 98 minutes, just like the original version. This work is also an unusual piece of history. The content, which consists of valuable performance scenes and interviews such as live pro shots and promo clips, is formally the same as usual, but in reality it is much closer to music. Most of the songs are performed in full, with short interviews interspersed between them. And that interview is strange. In the beginning, the encounter between UFO and Michael and the jam session where they can't communicate are interesting, but then the story suddenly jumps to ``A New Murderous Intent'' and Michael's departure, and topics such as hypnosis, producers, and even Paul Chapman are introduced. The chronology is also messed up. In the end, without any context, it suddenly becomes the Mick Bolton era, saying, ``By the way, the song The Coming Of Prince Kujuku is...''. If you can keep an eye on this article, there will be no problem since the basic knowledge is clear, but if you are trying to learn about UFO history with this work, you will definitely be disappointed. Also, the storyteller is also strange. Appearing are three people involved (Phil Mogg/Pete Way/Michael Schenker) and four juniors who consider themselves fans (Joe Elliott/Rick Savage/Phil Collen/Steve Harris). It is summarized as follows. It was heartwarming to see each of the juniors sincerely talk about their love for UFOs and the influences they had, but due to the abrupt editing, the conversation about fashion and songs got mixed up. As a result, the composition is filled with beautiful words and phrases sprinkled here and there, with the message, ``I understand that you are trying to praise me somehow, but I don't really understand what you are trying to convey.'' I'm not sure if I'm recommending it or not, but of course this work has its own highlights. That is the performance scene itself. In fact, it is a familiar video to enthusiasts such as 70's Roundhouse performances and ROCKPALAST, but the quality is beautiful. You can enjoy a number of classic videos in literal official quality! And what is that standard image? It's hard to tell who performs by the song title credits on the jacket, and there are some songs that were briefly included in interviews. Here, let's pick up and organize only the songs that have been played almost completely. Michael Schenker era・December 18, 1975 Roundhouse performance (4 songs): This Kids/Out In The Street/Shoot Shoot/C'mon Everybody・June 12, 1977 Roundhouse performance (3 songs): Lights Out/Too Hot To Handle/Let It Roll・Other (2 songs): Only You Can RockMe (PV)/Cherry (PV) Paul Chapman era・November 29, 1980 Dortmund performance (ROCKPALAST 2 songs): Lettin' Go /Mystery Train・1979 OLD GRAY WHISTLE TEST (1 song): Doctor Doctor Others・Mick Bolton era: The Coming Of Prince Kujuku (PV)・Lawrence Archer era: Borderline (Live PV)/Running Up The Highway (Live PV)/Backdoor Man It looks like this. Although it is an editing in which each song is made independent and interviews are inserted in between, a considerable amount of standard pro shots have been made official. Even better, if each video was recorded in full, it would have been a permanent preservation press... The video clips for "Only You Can Rock Me" and "Cherry" that I couldn't help but fall in love with. Most of the videos are of the highest quality, but these two songs are covered in dubbing marks and are extremely poor. It's on par with the bootlegs from the VHS era, and you'll be surprised to find out, "This is official!?" You really can't let your guard down with video software from the early 90's. Next (?), there's one more thing I'd like to comment on: three songs from the Lawrence Archer era. As mentioned at the beginning, this work was released during the Archer era, but in fact, the character "A" in Archer does not appear in the interview. There are no explanations for these three songs, and if you don't have "HIGH STAKES & DANGEROUS MEN," you'll be left wondering, "Whose song is this?" The video itself is wonderful, and even now it's a valuable highlight... I'm not sure if I'm recommending it again, but there is no doubt that the essential visual quality and music quality are extremely high. On top of that, even the strange editing is a piece that will become the entertainment of the times. A superb and slightly funny official work that could only exist in the early 90's.
