On January 10th, 1981, the UK tour for "The Wild, The Willing and The Innocent" was recorded at Hammersmith Odeon in London, London, for 54 minutes with an official level of ultra-high quality stereo soundboard recording. At the time, six songs from this performance were broadcast on the radio, and this album includes those six songs plus No Place To Run, Love To Love, and Mystery Train. The sound quality, which seems to have been copied from the pre-FM master, is of the highest level in both mix and balance. During this period, Paul Chapman plays lead guitar, and of course his high-quality guitar playing is of course wonderful, as is the band combination, and Phil Mogg also gives us a tasteful vocal. Although Michael's departure caused a decline in popularity in Japan, UFO's popularity in their home country during this period was high, and they continued to provide their fans with high-quality albums and live shows, riding the heavy metal boom that had just emerged from the UK, and you can enjoy a performance full of momentum full of positive mood. Love To Love, which showcases the essence of Phil's British vocals, is simply superb. Paul Chapman's playing is also superb, with his superb guitar work at key points, making the whole album a worthwhile listen. You can also hear the tasteful keyboard work of Neil Carter, who joined the band shortly after and would later become Gary Moore's right-hand man and lead the band in the late 1980s. This is a recommended album for British hard rock fans, as it allows you to fully enjoy the greatness of UFO's live performances in the early 1980s.
