In 1978, Tom Petty was busy touring with passion, just before his breakthrough with "DAMN THE TORPEDOES". Introducing a definitive set of sound board and professional shots that allows you to experience such early stages. This work includes “December 30, 1978 San Francisco Performance”. This is a 3-disc set with the stereo soundboard recording on DISC 1-2 and the multi-camera professional shot on DISC 3. Tom's career first took off in England, but in 1978 he used the aftermath to invade his native America. First, let's look back at the schedule and check the show's position.・April 22nd: New York performance [“YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!” released on May 2nd] ・May 7th – June 15th: North America #1 (14 performances) ・June 20th – 27th : UK (4 performances), July 6th - August 6th: North America #2 (20 performances), September 10th - 24th: North America #3 (10 performances), December 29th - 31st: North America #4 (3 performances) ←★Here★This is Tom Petty in 1978. They had held a large-scale UK tour the previous year, but after the release of "YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!", they only held four showcase-like performances. The rest of the year was devoted to circuits around North America. And, the final performance was the three performances at the end of the year, “North America #4”. The New Year’s Eve concert on New Year’s Eve was officialized with the deluxe edition of “THE LIVE ANTHOLOGY”, but this work was also the stage the day before. It is also known that the pattern was left on the FM broadcast soundboard, and monochrome pro shots were also discovered, and it quickly became a show representative of the early days. This work sets both of them with the highest peak master. In particular, the main soundboard version (DISC 1-2) is a remastered version that was recently released by overseas core enthusiasts, and its quality is truly exquisite. The Proshot audio was completely monaural, but this one is a stereo master (although it is closer to the center), and the glossy finish and sound quality itself exceed the Proshot version. That is the live album that I want you to set with “YOU’RE GONNA GET IT!” and turn it into a dera Eddie. Of course, the professional shot version (DISC 3) is also the best. As mentioned above, it is monochrome, but the freshness of the master is tremendous and the beauty of the image is glossy, with no noise that seems like noise. Although the audio cannot be as dynamic as the stereo sound of DISC 1-2, there is no problem with the sound quality. Nothing can replace the thrill of having the rich guitars and youthful roars flow into your brain in perfect sync with the multi-camera footage. What is drawn with such quality is a full show that is not just a concentrated reduction of the first two works... As mentioned above, the New Year's Eve concert the next day has been made official, so let's compare and organize them here. American Girl (6 songs)・Anything That's Rock 'n' Roll (★)/Fooled Again (I Don't Like It)/Mystery Man/American Girl/Breakdown/Strangered in the Night (★) Your Gonna Get・It! (4 songs) ・I Need to Know / Listen To Her Heart (★) / You're Gonna Get It / Too Much Ain't Enough Destruction (2 songs) ・Refugee / Even The Losers (★) Others (6 songs)・Original: Surrender/Casa Dega ・Cover: The Dark End Of The Street (Making Love) (★) / Shout / I Fought The Law (★) / Any Way You Want It (★) *Note: "★" mark indicates A song that could not be heard even on the official "1978 NEW YEAR'S EVE CONCERT." ...and it looks like this. The first two albums are the core, and the precious "Mystery Man" and "You're Gonna Get It" will dazzle your eyes. Furthermore, the repertoire ``Refugee'' and ``Even The Losers'' from the blockbuster hit ``DAMN THE TORPEDOES'' have also appeared a little earlier, and both songs will be premiered worldwide on this day. Other songs include "Casa Dega," which was included on the B-side of the single "Don't Do Me Like That," "Surrender," which saw the light of day on "ANTHOLOGY: THROUGH THE YEARS," and an extremely rare cover. ``The Dark End Of The Street (Making Love),'' ``I Fought The Law,'' ``Any Way You Want It,'' and many more. A group of valuable and rich masterpieces from that time are played out one after another. With the huge success of their next work ``DAMN THE TORPEDOES'', they quickly rose to stardom, and the driving force behind that was undoubtedly ``YOU'RE GONNA GET IT Tour''. What this work is packed with is a passionate full show that changed that life. A 3-disc set with the stereo soundboard recording of "December 30, 1978 San Francisco Performance" on DISC 1-2 and the multi-camera pro shot on DISC 3. The main soundboard version (DISC 1-2) is a remastered version that was announced very recently, and is a stereo version that is different from the pro shot audio. The professional shot version (DISC 3) is also the best ever, and even though it is monochrome, there is no noise that seems to be noise, and the beauty of the image is glossy. Plenty of full shows from the early days, including the precious "Surrender", "Casa Dega", "Mystery Man", "You're Gonna Get It", the world premiere of "Refugee", "Even The Losers", and many extremely rare covers.
