1969 was a special year for THE WHO. He released the album ``TOMMY'', which he began recording in the fall of the previous year, and the concept album, which fused rock and opera, gained him acclaim and elevated him to even greater heights as an artist. This album is not only THE WHO's masterpiece, but is also famous as a rock masterpiece that has spawned various covers. This album has been made into a movie, an orchestra, a musical, and a reenactment live performance by THE WHO themselves, and the songs from the album still play an important role in THE WHO's live performances. "TOMMY" was released in May 1969, but in between recording sessions, he went on tour from January 1969, and on stage in late April 1969, he performed the previously unreleased "TOMMY" ” is being performed. However, at this point, the set list had been omitted from several songs that were considered unsuitable for the stage, but after that, almost all of the songs would be reproduced on stage. The year 1969 was a special year not only for THE WHO but also for rock. It was also a year in which important events such as the historic Woodstock Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival took place, which will be talked about for years to come. Perhaps by divine arrangement, coincidentally, the era coincided with THE WHO immediately after the release of "TOMMY". THE WHO is performing on both stages. The center of the stage was, of course, “TOMMY”. THE WHO's 1969 tour, which they wanted with a special album in such a special time, carefully toured around the UK from January to May. After that, they traveled back and forth between the United States and the United Kingdom, performing a total of 125 shows and spending most of the year on tour. The long and fulfilling 1969 ended at Newcastle on December 19th. This work is a video recording of the London Coliseum performance on December 14, 1969, before Chiaki Rakuichi's performance. As an aside, this London Coliseum performance was the day before the final day of the tour and two months before that Live at Leeds. The 1969 London Coliseum performance had been partially known through chronological documentaries, and the full version had been long awaited. The entire film was released as a bonus disc for the documentary ``Amazing Journey'', but it was extremely difficult to watch, as the audio was overly processed and difficult to listen to, and above all, due to the original film, the footage was almost completely black. It was something. This work has been digitally remastered using a different master than ``Amazing Journey'', with the audio properly remastered and the video gain increased to the digital limit to make it easier to watch. Although there is some noticeable film grain, it can be said that this clear image has finally become a work of art. In addition, other sources of fragments included in the annual documentary are also included. This is a 2-disc DVD set that records the December 14, 1969 London Coliseum performance in a high quality image and sound quality that surpasses that of conventional video.
