The 8th release of the REEL MASTERS series is a completely unreleased live performance by TEMPEST! The performance at the Marquee Club in London on October 2, 1973 was recorded in full with super high quality sound that can only be heard on a soundboard! How on earth was it recorded? The sound quality is comparable to that of modern DAT, which is full of question marks. The REEL MASTERS series guarantees the ultimate sound quality that makes you think that no other sound is possible. This is a valuable recording from the time when Ollie Halsall joined as a new member to replace Allan Holdsworth on guitar and vocals. Not only the drums of leader John Hiseman and the playing of Mark Clark, who shows off his skilled bass running, but anyone who listens to Ollie Halsall's guitar playing, which shows off his incredible fast playing for this era, will be blown away. To be honest, I think there are many people who do not recognize that he is such an incredible guitarist. Considering the era, it is a series of surprising plays. Overall, the sound is so heavy that it is hard to believe it is a trio, and there are many sounds. The beat that can only be experienced at a live performance is evident from the first song, and the intensity of the ups and downs is even greater than on the album. In terms of the set, most of the songs are from the second album "LIVING IN FEAR," but the fifth song, "GREY AND BLACK," features the vocals of bassist MARK CLARKE, and is the only song from the first album. In the second half, leader JON HISEMAN's amazing drum solo explodes. In any case, the sound quality and content are both exceptionally excellent, and this is a must-listen album that will inevitably become the best discovery of the year for British rock fans. As an additional surprising bonus, from the reel recording of the 1973 Reading performance, which also contained the PFM performance (if you look closely at the image of the PFM reel box, you can see the word TEMPEST), this also includes TURN AROUND from the same stage in high sound quality! It can be said to be an album that is beyond common sense. Live at Marquee Club, London, UK 2nd October 1973 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) 01. FUNERAL EMPIRE 02. TURN AROUND 03. MC 04.
