This DVD is a detailed digital version of the masterpiece "GOING TO CALIFORNIA." This is a multi-camera pro shot of the "May 26, 1990 Santa Barbara performance" which is the 10th performance of "North America #2" in the schedule of the main commentary. This video was released worldwide on VHS/laser disc, but due to the fate of video productions at the time, it was soon discontinued. Even after that, it has not been made into an official DVD. In fact, in 2009, a half-official DVD/CD called "LIVE FROM SANTA BARBARA" was released, but it contained five songs: "Women Of Ireland," "Change," "Pale Shelter," and "Mad World." It was an excerpt version of about 68 minutes in which "All You Need Is Love" was cut (I'm just guessing, but it seems that it was cut to fit on CD 1, and a video version of the same edit was also sold on DVD). Of course, this work is not a copy of such an excerpt, but a complete version reprinted from the original "GOING TO CALIFORNIA". Since the original is an official product, the visual beauty is of course the best, and the sound is also a complete official grade soundboard (although it is not as good as 2CD). On top of that, it is also wonderfully crafted to look like a work of art. Focusing on the two main characters, we capture the highlights of the gorgeous lineup of 10 people in total, and each shot is so beautiful that it could be used for gravure. What's more, it's not just a projection; it's full of visual effects, including black-and-white, sepia, and scanning line images imitating a cathode ray tube, and depending on the song, even image cuts are inserted. Of course, 1990 has already passed through the MTV era, so such treatments are not obtrusive and are backed by a solid aesthetic sense. It is as complete as a PV of a full show, and it is a masterpiece of art that is worthy of being called a "video work." ``GOING TO CALIFORNIA'' is TEARS FOR FEARS' best video work.
